Freezing conditions here. Lungs hurting from breathing that cold air, and got a mild frost bite in my left toes

.
AAAC, knowing the kind of watts you can output, I thought you were playing with me, but you never launched that decisive attack.
I got too big for my breeches tonight.
I thought I would try and level the playing feild by taking the sting out of my legs in my warm up ride by doing one of the Goats sessions I needed to do.
I tried to take the Goat session steady but I can't help my self sometimes and kept finding myself going for it.
The nett result is that I did a pretty good Goats ride, but not as good as I could have, and was left wanting in the Chaingang Session.
I did have a plan and it was working until my legs started emptying halfway.
The plan was not to dash off but to catch you and any others on the first ascent and then sit with you until later in the stage and attack on a climb.
Everything went to plan until I relaised I kept loosing you on the descents where I thought I had a 'BKool Classic' advantage so I ended up digging in on every climb to get back to you until I got to the point where the tank was empty and I couldn't even do that.
I had hopes on using the final rises to get back to you but by then I was spent and backed off because I knew too much further effort tonight would make my recovery too difficult if I want to fight another day.
Question is now do I leave your advantage as it is to challenge myself for the coming stages or do I go for a re-run either live on Saturday or solo on Sunday (depending on how my wife wishes to fill my weekend schedule).
PS - Had a chance to review our stats.
You mention my 'big watts' but considering we are both probably registered at 77kg it is supprising to see such a big difference in our average watts today with mine at W/Kg 4.53 and yours at 3.71.
Perhaps that is something else we could grumble about but at the end of the day the only average figure that matters is 'speed'.
