Now that's what I call high brow humour ...

yeah, he is the heissemberg's uncertainty rider
Thanks for that Geoff!
So much for Bill being sick!Great race Bill and Bridgy - wasn't sure what tactic to use as I knew I'd be in trouble when i reached that climb! And I was right!

Great race. I wasn't playing with you, just trying to follow my tactic. But I wasn't strong enough to do that today (today was my 10th trainingday in a row). My tactic was to be at least 1 minute in front of you before we reached the big hill. I wanted to do that by making it very hard at the flat. I think I'm a bit stronger than you on flat road. The problem was that you kept following me. Then I made a new tactic that was to do a lot of breakaways and try to make you tired and hopefully get at least 30 sec before the hill, but you just kept coming back. I got very tired from that tactic, so I guess you would have been much faster than me uphill...I think its just a PC for me. I normaly make a point of maximising and minimising the screen every no and again to let the PC know I am still using the App. I was pretty engulfed in the race with Jacob.
I couldn't work out if he was playing with me or not but I decided there was no point in me backing off as I did earlier in the stage as he would only fly past me again. We were just approaching that smaller climb before the 'cliff' and I was just getting ready to dig in then bamm the blimmin thing crashed.
I was realy in a hard place but at the same time in a groove.
When I say poor form, I am of course talking nonsense, I gave it 110% the whole way, and was completely jiggered when I finished.Noah was leapfrogging me all the time whilst I was logged on. He would just appear by my side, then zoom off into the distance, before reappearing behind me again...it was making me a bit dizzy tbh, and might account for my poor form!
That of course, and having to twice retrieve my leg from the ditch.
Bridgy, how was that compared to riding it in real life?
Geoff
Ah that explains it. There wasn't much in it and I looked down briefly -when I looked back up bill was nearly a minute ahead! I missed the wormhole!
Think I'll claim the moral victory![]()
Great race though Bill. You've recovered well after the weekend
Nearly forgot about this. Was hoping to do it the week after this league finished but next week doesn't suit me as I'll be tapering my efforts to try and be fresh on the Saturday for the duathlon. It did all end up quite strung out in the end, I think a handicap race could make for a very interesting last few miles!
Geoff
Thanks Bill. Forms a bit all over the place as I've been doing too many different forms of exercise for the past 3 months. Cycling's still the main one, but the others wear me out leaving my performances down on bkool. It didn't feel like I was slower than usual. I guess it must just be a cold and not flu. Looks like you're back on form though Rick and you scared me on that hill the way you pulled away as I had assumed I'd be able to get an advantage there.
I like the steep hills - helps me get the power down whereas I struggle on the shallow slopes.
Was hoping I'd break you but I should know by now that wasn't going to happen. Was scared Bridgy was going to come charging too but thankfully I stayed away.
I did like the fact that the graphics actually showed something like a gorge down Cheddar Gorge though - very clever!
You had time to look at the screen... I was chewing the handlebars going down the gorge
