I just got a mental image of Jacob, AAAC and Lars collecting riders the whole way and approaching the line with 30+ riders tucked in behind them!

I'm fairly sure my great mass bearing down upon it holds it firmly in place however I am happy to keep in my mind that slippage is the issue rather than general ineptitude and malaise.Incidentally Soarer, after looking at your Avatar, I'm wondering if half your problem isn't having set the bike a bit high on the turbo trainer? You might be getting some slippage.
The adjusted rerun could be interestingThere seems to be enough interest to make a Saturday 5pm re-run viable, in which case we can adjust the handicaps after the first run to make the re-run even closer!
I'll definitely try to video the fun!

I'm so up for this.Geoff could you get your post broken out to a seperate, stickied, thread as the 'Chaingang Handicap Ride' and then lock it so only you can add or edit it. I was trying to find your original list and it is more than 10 pages back (I stopped searching there).
If this is sucessful we could make it a monthly event after a chaingang league. Giving the league organisers a couple of weeks to get the next league ready.

Being a bear of particularly small brain, Will it be 7pm + my handicap time when I start or will the warm up take place so it is 7:10 + my handicap time? (having typed this I now just wonder if it is the underway time instead, hmmm yes that makes more sense but I have already typed this so might as well post it rather than thinking to myself "well that was a stupid question")Geoff could you get your post broken out to a seperate, stickied, thread as the 'Chaingang Handicap Ride' and then lock it so only you can add or edit it. I wish i was good enough to tuck as they fly past. I will have a go though. My recommendation for those starting early, if any of the faster riders catch and pass you, tuck in and draft for as long as you possibly can! That should improve your time and make it harder for the next rider to catch you.
Done enough times, you could approach the finish line tucked in behind all the fast boys and ready to sprint for the win!
I remember from last winter, catching Monte and then finding it real hard to pull away, as he just upped his game and got back on my tail every time I tried to break away!![]()

I am going to bedoing CG stg4 this afternoon. I will try to hop onto a couple of live rides just before they start to see what happens. As elapsed time will not be of importance only finishing position. Can your avatar sit on the line until your start time without getting kicked off/out.Being a bear of particularly small brain, Will it be 7pm + my handicap time when I start or will the warm up take place so it is 7:10 + my handicap time? Set of after 10 mins and pedle away, if you go at the same rate as before you will roughly come in first assuming everybody else does the same.really looking forward to this but dont understand how to do it ! understand that i set of 10 mins after it starts but do i just sit there on start line and watch clock not peddling - sorry for being a pain
Well, if we get to you bridge think of it as good companyWe will all be looking behind us too!
