I know what you're saying Bob. It doesn't always work out but sometimes it does with drafting and it's quite satisfying to use it as a tool to try and gain advantage. The classic example was when me, LB and Guy ganged up on AAAC. We drafted just out of his reach and beat him. I came 3rd but it was probably my favourite ever ride.

Yeah, that looked like great fun. I suspect if you and Roleur had a bit more assistance from one of them or Rick or Adds the my lead would have dissipated!

Hey, don't put me above my pay grade guys. Mine is a work in progress, I'm not there with you guys yet. Not sure how I stayed with Bill and Rol for 10 miles tbh, but I know by the time I dropped back, I was done. But I loved it. Would much rather it like that, than find it easy to keep up. Hopefully Kipster will throw something in the mix with me, and we can mount an assault on you front runners.
Who knows. Really weird though how today felt so much better than my previous 2 or 3. Just felt different. Only discernable differences was repumped my tyre by 10psi back up to 130, and oiled my chain, but that shouldn't have made as big a difference as it did.
Huge fan of that course too, I need to do more of that cadence stuff, meant to be doing it now, but you guys are killing me with these leagues.
And finally how are we going to go about forcing this premium membership on Geoff?

You were right there in the mix too Soarer, at the beginning. Was nice to see. I guess like me, the engine died a bit eventually. But it's all good isn't it? I got a cracking start, but it might have used a bit more energy than I could afford to spare really.

Just a note on the PC side of stuff. You guys kind of nudged me into checking something, and it turns out I was running BSim on my default integrated graphics card, and not my nvidia one. Not a massive difference in quality, but I'm sure it will be more stable now. I have had issues with video routes, hopefully this will cure my freezing problems.

Right, that's more than enough sensible stuff from me, I've just remembered I need to uncuff my kids from a fence in town.

Looks like you were there throughout the whole session, but Bobinski disappeared for one minute about 39:30.
Whoops, just watched the recording and saw you (Bill) disappeared for about 2 minutes at 49:10 and roleur1 for good at 50:34.

Maybe the Saturday run suits you more than the later at night after wok jobbie. I know it does me. Plus your clearly making constant gains (hate you! :cursing: ).

Rick, in the next Chaingang could you leave each run open until the league end? Only because I am only a couple of minutes off the place above me, and looking at the previous sessions, I would have rerun the first one in an attempt to claw them back, but obviously that isn't an option if it has closed.
Not saying it would have worked, or that I would always do it, but nice to have the option.

I am happy to contribute to the up keep of the league's. If it costs Geoff money to run and organise these races., those who take part should contribute. There are a lot of members.

You can't do that  Its like a football league, no chances to replay If you dont like the result.

Thought I would pedal as hard as I could for as long as I could at the beginning partly so I could play with the kids on the big playground for a bit and partly as I thought there would be a nice long rest after the big hills for a fatty. Turns out the rest wasn't quite as real as I was expecting and then I gave it a real push to stay with Bert but ultimately was kippered. About an hour in I was properly hurting but am definitely getting fitter and able to fight a bit more.

There is an African saying something about a child raised by a whole village being a good thing. If you leave the kids shackled where they are then the whole Town can be involved and surely that is even better than being raised by a village? It is for their own good really.

Agreed. Geoff...you shouldnt be out of pocket. We could all cover the £80 easily. 20 riders paying £4 each. We will have to do a PM from all those offering to pay for you and give your bank details so we can put the dosh straight into your account.

Let us know how you feel about it dont refuse out of gentlemanliness (is that a word?). Appreciate what you do Geoff.
