Change the password for the next handicap. If you want in you have to pay a fiver. That gets you into all future races. Annual membership is £78 so should easily reach that. When it goes over, it can go towards all the time Geoff puts in working out the times, and doing the videoing.

Thought I would pedal as hard as I could for as long as I could at the beginning partly so I could play with the kids on the big playground for a bit and partly as I thought there would be a nice long rest after the big hills for a fatty. Turns out the rest wasn't quite as real as I was expecting and then I gave it a real push to stay with Bert but ultimately was kippered. About an hour in I was properly hurting but am definitely getting fitter and able to fight a bit more.

There is an African saying something about a child raised by a whole village being a good thing. If you leave the kids shackled where they are then the whole Town can be involved and surely that is even better than being raised by a village? It is for their own good really.

Ah yes

Good parenting by Idi Amin. Know it well.

ok new desk top on its way. Quad core i5 2.8ghz/ 4GB ram/ 500GB hard drive/ Nvidia quadro FX 580 graphics card. Just about to order the lead to connect it to a flatscreen.

Garage sufferpit is undergoing a remodel.

I really like the idea of setting it up on a bigger screen

Rick, in the next Chaingang could you leave each run open until the league end? Only because I am only a couple of minutes off the place above me, and looking at the previous sessions, I would have rerun the first one in an attempt to claw them back, but obviously that isn't an option if it has closed.
Not saying it would have worked, or that I would always do it, but nice to have the option.
I'm open to that idea Adam. I had already considered leaving the rides open a bit longer as even I'm even struggling to fit in the last stage here due to other commitments! What does everyone else think? Will it take away from the league in any way or just increase the competitive spirit? I remember in the bkool summer league replaying some stages just to gain some more seconds to overtake guys in the table! Was good motivation!

On the subject of the chaingang league I'd like it to be as level a playing field as possible regardless of what trainer you use.
Suggestion:
Some guys on kickrs have been struggling with the off the line explosion from us Bkool users, so maybe we could have a gentleman's agreement to have a more sedate start keeping to what we know would be our average watts or thereabouts. Maybe too hard to implement. I know we talked about it before - maybe it wouldn't make that much difference. How much do you think a kickr user loses from the start?

Similarly the on/off technique should be avoided during league sessions.

Just ideas to even things out and encourage more teamwork making it more like real racing. Best sessions ive had were the ones where ive teamed up and drafted with 1 or 2 others.

As i said, we want as level a playing field in the league as far as possible.:hugs:

What says the masses??? :addict:

Maybe we ought to try a one of special where we assign a team with a couple of quicker riders and someone nearer the Back and get them to tow the slower rider to the end with only the third time counting. Would be a good way of teaching people (like me) how to draft.

I do realise of course that this message is just a thinly veiled attempt by me to get towed along a course.

couldn't possibly comment on kickrs vs bkool on start as doesn't really affect me as selfish as that sounds:crazy:
but as for keeping the league open I understand its difficult for everyone to complete at certain times due to other commitments and that's only going to get harder as the weather improves so to be honest if if means more people can compete its got to be better to keep it open:highfive:
