All sounds fantastic Bob, apart from the buckled wheel. Great to know that you're confident the turbo racing has helped. I'm also certain of that too. I'd definitely consider joining you next year if the Mrs will let me and if I don't injure myself beforehand as I quite often do. Actually my Cyclist Palsy problem would probably get the better of me during a few days in the Alps unfortunately.
Ah well, now that I'm back from my weeks holiday I suppose I'd better go and do the next Bkool Summer Cup ride.
I know a nice and cheap apartment complex with an indoor pool, sauna and steam room if that will help with the Mrs Bill?

I am hoping Bkool convert my rides to 3d. My Virb didn't arrive in time so no video. Shame too given on descent of Roseland into the valley a low flying helicopter swooped low overhead hugging the contours before disappearing around a corner. Pretty dramatic. Spectacular really.
Hopefully the CP will heal Bill. I remember reading up about it when you first mentioned it and it did seem a condition you can recover from.
Just one thing though about riding long ascents in real life compared to Bkool. You can stand on the pedals not just to change position and ease muscle or back tension but to also develop more power. I would often do this and jump up a gear. You cannot do this on the trainer without a risk of wheel spin and loss of power. It's one of the few hardware weaknesses of Bkool trainers but it is a significant one particularly if you climb like contador rather than Froom- stylistically anyway.
It would be good to get some of us together for a mountains trip. I really enjoy riding alone but think the experience and friendly competitiveness could be explosive!
