Yep, really enjoyed that - though I get the feeling it took more out of me than it did you. :heat:

Excellent ride and just what I needed after consuming 3/4 of a box of heroes today! :hungry:xx( Hopefully that counters the calories!

With the extra watts you had to make it was probably a bit tougher for you. Could be a good sort of ride for weight loss and building up the watts. Never pushed it too hard so should be fit for tomorrow nights facebook race.

Getting the loft sorted tonight Bill, so hopefully ( ), tomorrow, perhaps when i have your ghost to chase down-or more likely watch disappearing off into the distance :bicycle:

Good luck with it all Bob. My loft took a couple of weeks on and off so if you get it done tonight you'll be doing very well. Anyway, looks like Ventoux is postponed until tomorrow or Friday. You could still be he first ;)

Almost there Bill though had a few laughs along the way. No mains ring in loft so will have to run an extension cable down to the hall way and drop it down from the hatch and plug it in when I need it. Monitor set up, PC connected, Ethernet over electricity. Turn on the PC, bear in mind not used for some months, and the power supply on the PC starts to smoke:eek:
Quickly turn everything off, relegate PC and connect old and very slow laptop. All going well until bkool tried to update. Sadly keeps hanging at 80% due to issues with temp folder. Very frustrating. In meantime trainer road updates with full Ant fec support. Hurrah! But I want my bkool. Have stepped away to eat and watch cake being made^_^ will have another go at updating. Will also need to order a trainer mat. Doubt there is much between them but advice welcome!
So, might just make ventou tomorrow.

Bob, each time there is a bkool update I have to delete the original bkool indoor file from my pc and download again from the bkool website. It will not update the existing file. Same as yours by the sound of it.
Loft progress sounds promising though.
I started out with an extension cable too and it was fine.

Basically they are all the same so whatevers cheapest, i think you are basically paying for the logo on the matt looking at some of them!

I use a foam camping mat, cheap as anything (I pay about £5), get through one every couple of years. The foam wears where my feet go for getting on / off the bike.

Sounds perfect and nice and cheap. Is it long enough?

It's plenty long enough, and it was wide enough for the Bkool classic. I did have to get another for the pro and it's extendable legs.

Hi Guys, got a Bkool Pro trainer about a month ago.Really impressed with it, getting used to the simulator and software eventually... Had a few rides in the Summer League, I assume there is going to be a Winter league? or do you guys set up a league

I'll second that. I use one just to catch the sweat and tyre dust mainly - Not sure of its noise dampening attributes!

There's a couple of league run during the winter within the group. Currently we have the mountain goats league and the top 100 climbs league which starts Oct. Bkool are likely going to start a winter league too (I asked them a couple of weeks ago)

Hi guys.
Summer bike is just about to be put away and BKOOL subscription paid. Looking forward to some winter pain. I did Alpe d'Hues this morning to remind myself how much it hurts, paced up by Bob..thanks! couldn't keep with you at the top though....

What is it with bKool??? Trying to get a ride in and their site is down and I can't log on. Seems like every time you try to use it something runs slow, drops out or can't connect - turns the 60 minute workout into a 90 minute hassle. [complaint over!]
