Certainly an idea - what do you think @BILL S ?What about a Miss and Out session instead of tomorrow's rerun?

Did Col du Glandon last night,(1:29:08) but if i click on my attempt it comes up with a pink cross beside it and says attempt invalid! Was really strugglling towards the end but as it was a league ride i wanted to finish it!
Any idea what i did wrong? Not too bothered for this league as just getting used to the trainer and simulator and i cant fit all the rides in anyway, but would be good to know for future attempts if i've done something wrong.
Cheers

My gearing is a compact 50/34 with a 12-27 on the back (I think). I certainly cant climb at 75rpm on the steep stuff.Agree about gearing and the Velodrome.
Lowest gear I use is a 39x27 on the steeper stuff, which just about gets me up the 12% climbs at 75rpm. Cadence lower than for a prolonged period and I really notice it in both depleting my muscles glycogen stores and fatiguing the fast twitch fibres. The result is not being able to ride hard for any given time after that. I misjudged a climb near me once. Kicks up to 20% 3 times for 100 yards (maxing at 25%), and 8-9% the rest. I blew up spectacularly with one more kick still to come. Ended up doing 35rpm for the last minute or so. My ride was over after that, and it was a slog to ride anywhere near FTP after that for the next 30 minutes as I trundled home!
Conversely, having a 54x11 really helps on the Velodrome on the sim! Just a shame it's near impossible to sprint on the turbo, so end up sprinting like Ed Clancy, while seated with massively high leg speed!

Suppose the best compromise would be a triple chainset bike to try and give as wide as range as possible!
lol. Guess I'm harking back to my MTB days. I take it triples are frowned upon!Triple - even in the virtual world that would be piss take material
I didn't realise bkool could actually connect to your trainer. That's good to know. I contacted them regarding my trainer not being able to update and they replied that my trainer was on the most up to date software already. I was wondering how they knew. HmmmmmmGoing out to try my trainer, bkool have dialled in and checked all the settings and re-loaded the simulator software - fingers crossed it gets sorted (back to 210Ilbs).
Nothing wrong with a triple, Ricklol. Guess I'm harking back to my MTB days. I take it triples are frowned upon!![]()
Noooooooooooo ha haI'm just glad I don't have a ride I have to do tomorrow although I may try to take Whorty's third place off him, again![]()
