It would take some effort to get near Ryan let alone beat him. Very impressive. :notworthy: But no harm in having another go, is there? :bicycle:
Bill I have challenged u twice on the chain gang races .And also a Few times on the top 100 And cant get near u .. Think it is because i am Mountain biker and can ride for hours in a Low gear with a Slow cadence ....

I think there is a lot of technique involved in rides such as typical chain gang and summer cup rides. Definitely not all down to power or power/weight. The free-wheeling and the carrying momentum up hills (which could in fact be an advantage to be heavier if bkool has written it to be so). The goat rides seem to be mainly power/weight with little technique, although I think I noticed last night that after 10% the advantage starts to swing back my way a little as I think you once commented that it continues to get harder for you as you are lighter. Watching the timer seemed to indicate that you're right about that.

So here's how I was able to get ghosts for the mountain goats league.

1. Go to the league's page where stages are listed. Each active stage should have a "copy" link in its upper right corner. It shows up in blue in my browser. Click on the link to create a league copy of the stage. Do not click the larger blue emblem on the lower right corner. That link will create a league ride you can't modify. I have *no* idea why they're different, just that they are are.

2. Head to your scheduled sessions and find the ride. Note that you may have more than one in your scheduled sessions. You have to find the one you just created. In theory it'll be near the top of the list of your scheduled rides since the "copy" link will schedule one for the current date.

3. Add ghosts & bots and hit the "Edit" button. You can also remove the splits that resync your ride somehow ultimately resulting in a shorter ride than expected, then some kind of adjustment from bkool after the ride is complete.

4. Ride

Now what's damn strange is this works for the mountain goats league, but it doesn't seem to be working for the mountain moose league. I don't know if it's a function of the way the leagues/groups are set up or a function of the ride itself. The leagues share a couple rides, so I'll be able to test if it's the ride or the league tomorrow when City Creek opens up for the goats.

I used this method last night to do stage 2 of the chaingang league, it works great, it was
good to 'compete' :notworthy: with some of you, couldn't get find all the ghosts from the league
but did get about 8 of you, I

I tried this method last night for stage 2 of the chain gang league and it worked, not all the names
from the league were showing as ghosts but there were about 8 that I added, it made it a much
better workout than riding it alone, doubt its as good as the actual chaingang ride tho but as I'm
normally busy on Thursdays its a very good option, after a week with no biking and the last date
that it showed the stage 2 could be ridden I gave it a go.....OUCH!!! I watched as a few of the front
riders, Bill, Rick , JonBon and others flew away from the start and thought I may be able to gain
some time back as the ride went on , NO CHANCE , but even tho I didn't it was still a good ride.

Alfonzo, I look forward to being on a live ride with you. It gets lonely in the middle, and you seem to be close to my times, I certainly get a few 'you've been beaten by alfonzo' emails, but all pretty close to my time. Having you there should help me push that little bit harder. I can't keep with Bill, Rick, Bobinski etc.. You appear to be an ideal competitor for me.

Tried this for the 100 climbs league but wouldn't work for some reason, manged to do 2 sessions the cheddar gorge and the rake was going to do weston hill but bkool was playing up so will do that tomorrow.

I think our times seem to be very close Kipster, look forward to doing a live ride with you, you wouldn`t believe how hard I
had to push myself to get those few seconds from you last night, just managed it somehow on my final effort, I was changing
places with you for miles but you wouldn`t go away GRRRR ^_^

You're always welcome to ride at the back with us Mooses
Thanks Whorty I may have to take you up on that offer :thanks:

Did two of the Moose rides tonight. City Creek Canyon and then Subida Soller. Not one off the best idea's I have had:ohmy:, thought I was going to joining the sick gang!! Should have set a good ghost time for the City Creek ride for the Moose's. It may need validating tho, showing a red cross against lost signal. As mentioned above, think Bkool was playing up, now for a rest!!:reading:

Good ride on the Velodrome event tonight Bill, seriously fast start by you:eek:
I started to lose it at about half way, ran out of gears, then sweat was getting in my eyes and I was having trouble seeing.. did get to see your blue jersey fly past though, was going to jump on your wheel but just didn't have anything left!
Was giddy by the end.. but at least there were no mountains :heat:

Rick - I have a new recruit, (paul bridgman) another friend of mine has taken the leap of bkool world and would like to join in with the Thursday night chain gang. Someone else that will kick my ass...

Reporting is as requested Monte! New Bkool was set up and tried out for the first time tonight - I never knew I could sweat that much! I look forward to checking out some league rides soon if possible....

Telegraphe is good for getting a high average power. There'll be quite a few moving up a level or two I would think.

2 Goats completed the stage so far and two out on track right now :bravo::bravo:
I won't be one of those moving up -- not sure what went wrong, heart rate was higher than I'd like for most of the ride, but power output was low and I generally felt spent. Crawled to the finish line at some absurdly poor time. Will likely try again if the opportunity presents itself.
