I just started on that cadence programe that was suggested on here - sorry cant remember who - so I guess I had better do one.

If you don't care too much as to what category you are in and you not paying too much attention to your training zones then doing an FTP will give you nothing apart from stopping you getting that e-mail as it will change nothing but the colour of your outfit if you progress to the next lower or higher level e.g. Amateur to Active or vice versa.
Me too but not too fussed.I got the same email ...
If you want to work on your cadence here's a cadence drill from a programme I'm following...
First do the bkool FTP test to set your power zones. (Not the same day as you plan this cadence set)
10 min Warm up Z1 to Z2
5 mins 100rpm, max. of Z3
2 mins 90rpm, max. of Z3
5 mins 100rpm, max of Z3
5 mins 110rpm, max of Z3
2 mins 100rpm, max of Z3
5 mins 110rpm, max of Z3
3 mins 125rpm, max of Z3
Cool down 10 mins recovery, Z2 into Z1.
The 110 and 125rpm section are difficult to hold your form but do your best. Imagine wiping your feet on a mat when your pedal at the bottom of its stroke rather than just powering down on the down stroke. Once your stamina is built up the you can repeat the whole set but for now once will be enough.
It's best to do this on a steady gradient of say 2% so you have some resistance to push into - ive set this up...http://www.bkool.com/profile/detail/924153?durationType=DISTANCE&lapCount=1
It was IrishAl.I just started on that cadence programe that was suggested on here - sorry cant remember who - so I guess I had better do one.
Good memory @theboxers ! Ive just finished another cadence workout - 2×20mins@105rpm in power zone 3. I had to keep telling myself "this bike will explode should your leg speed drop below 100rpm " ala that great movie Speed. It was IrishAl.![]()
Same here - last ride didnt go across - had to manually do it.Me too but not too fussed.
However, today, my first ride since the email has not been uploaded to Strava. Normally this happens almost instantly. Is a delay commonplace or is the link broken? Ideas?

Hmm yes wonder if it had anything to do with the new update?Same here too - the strava link wasn't working yesterday either, and still not for me tonight. This happened a few weeks ago and it started working again eventually
Bkool have released a fix to the simulator 2.54 update, which shows as 2.541.
This fixes the new spectate in 3D (or video) feature, so I'll be sure to drop in and watch the odd chaingang in future.
Unfortunately, it doesn't fix the virtual speed for my KICKR, still crawling downhill at mph ... they've asked me to email and hopefully they'll take a look and try and figure out what is going on. Has anyone else with a non-bkool trainer found their speed going blue as they whiz downhills on the latest simulator?
Geoff
Geoff I assume you get this privaledge on Zwift.
I personaly see no reason why the BSim SW cannot recognise the fact that you are on Turbo a) or Turbo b) that perhaps do not have a resident 'downhill' function within the firmware.
I would not be suprised if this were so for the lower end Tacx smart models as Tacx will want you to by a higher end model with a motor function.
The KICKR is a pretty serious turbo but again I do not know how it is built to function but if BSim can recognise the model there is probably no reason why it cannot say your going downhill, reduce resistance to min setting and calculate speed.
However the text at the end of the last update I received only referred to 'Inertia' and was more likely to do with transition rather than sustained speed.
I also have no doubt that you are probaly better versed in the subject of SW where as my area of experience is in mechanics.
@AAAC 76C Bkool themselves said to Geoff in another thread that the new update should have fixed the downhill speed issue for his trainer
