Manually? How you do that? Never done it before.

If it starts working again, does it only do so from that moment in time going forward, and ignore those rides left in limbo?

To upload a ride - I've only ever done it on a PC or laptop - first open your ride in the Bkool website. One of the boxes on the right of the map is a blue square with an orange arrow coming out of it. Click on this, choose "fit" file and export. It'll export the fit file to the downloads file on your computer. Open Strava and click on the + sign on the top right, chose "upload ride" and then "choose file", and find the fit file in your downloads. Double click on it and it will upload to Strava. You do then need to remember to change the activity type to virtual ride.

I can't remember exactly what happened when it started working again last time but I had manually uploaded a couple of rides while it wasn't working and they didn't get duplicated.

Greta, thanks. Works a treat - when you know how. It was the export from BKOOL that I didn't know, but will in the future (and I would say that given the slightly less than robust BKOOL software, I shall need this again).

Unfortunately, it doesn't fix the virtual speed for my KICKR, still crawling downhill at mph ... they've asked me to email and hopefully they'll take a look and try and figure out what is going on. Has anyone else with a non-bkool trainer found their speed going blue as they whiz downhills on the latest simulator?
Geoff

I initially reported that I had not noticed anything in my vortex last Thursday but the truth is that this was immediately after the service was restored and I was not asked to update the Bsim software, so it makes sense that nothing changed. We have had a wonderful sunny weekend here and I got distracted with real roads, so I have not had a chance to try it since then. But tonight I have a goat stage waiting and I'll update and try. Does not sound promising that you can't though, I presume that your kickr has up to date firmware with FE-C support, does it?

No, the KICKR firmware doesn't have FE-C support yet (I think Wahoo still have it in beta) but Bkool has always supported the KICKR natively.

I did look to see if there was any firmware update from Wahoo, but no official release yet. Bkool haven't said that the virtual speed requires FE-C.

I don't see how they could possibly support and implement the new modes it if not through FE-C, so I would suggest that you try the beta firmware for the kickr. Your info actually gives me hopes that the BSIM update actually delivers some of what we are waiting for!

@IrishAl suggested to try a group live ride for the goats league (= herd ride?). Tuesday night @7pm was suggested. Is anybody in for Coll D'Allos tonight? I'll do it but depending on the interest I'll do it at that precise time or not.

Does anyone on here use a Garmin 920XT? If so do you ever have issues with the wifi connectivity? I have had mine 9 months now and it's started playing up. Garmin are being less than helpful, and before I send it back under warranty, I was just wondering if anyone else had had any similar experience? Everything else works find on it, and I can still upload via USB.

I don't see that it should have anything to do with the trainer or it's firmware, as AAAC said, they just need to reduce the resistance and calculate the speed from the decline and riders weight. Since they've had resistance control on the KICKR for years, I can't see any need for FE-C.

I haven't seen anyone else with a non bkool smart trainer comment on seeing blue figures, or indeed not seeing them. I'll wait and see if it works for anyone else before chasing bkool.
