Well I can definitely report that the Tacx trainer is a massive disadvantage on the downhills... I borrowed a friends Tacx Neo today to trial it on both Zwift & bkool, on Zwift it works perfect giving you momentum on the downhills. On the Bkool a completely different story, I felt my power on the flats was about right for my ability and in turn speeds where you would expect them but the minute you get an increase in the resistance you lose all your momentum, not so bad on the little climbs but when I hit the big climb at the end it felt like I hit a brick wall - I went from doing over 20mph to 6mph instantly, then the downhill section my little legs haven't peddaled so fast, I must of looked like a mad man...there was absolutely no resistance whatsoever and I was spinning the pedals has fast as I could, my max speed (and I could only hold it for a couple of seconds was 37mph) I avg around 32mph.
Don't rush out and spend a £1k on a Tacx Neo for the bkool software.
I'm sending my bkool back (again) I've given up this time...my replacement trainer has never been right, sending out low data. I want to research a few more trainers, but hopefully see you all online soon.
