I've just got to accept the fact I'm never going to be a cycling whippet. 84kg and stuck! 6 foot tall and I'm as thin as I've ever been really so not sure how I could lose much more than another couple of kg.
If you do lose much more I'll be in trouble as you were pushing far better than me on any small inclines on Thursdays ride.

I am shorter than you and definitely not a "whippet" (Monte will confirm this!) so in theory there's some weight to lose - I just like beer (and food!) too much to put the kind of effort in to lose much more!

If anyone didn't complete the first stage they won't be in the initial list but are welcome to join in. We can always take times from the other stages and start you with people you came in just behind.

These are the people who finished stages 2, 3 or 4 but not 1 (hope I haven't missed anyone).
Please post here if you want a start time, even if you're not in this list.

Hi Geoff. Im not a chaingang regular lately but would like to give this race on Thursday a go. Id be in and around BillS in terms of times on a rolling course as long as theres a few uphill bits i shouldbd able to keep in contention.

Anyone planning to do the chain gang re run this afternoon? Sitting here vaguely considering a real world outdoors ride but it is a very vague consider

Rick, give me a big enough bribe and I'll make sure Bridgy stays the same or more weight - he's very easy to persuade to go out for a beer, lol

I'm sitting on the side lines at the moment as I don't have a trainer, gone back to basics and training on the rollers with power meter.

Chaingang Rerun at 5pm

Anyone willing to start the session for me? Gails going to do the stage rather than me this afternoon.

 by the sounds of it a bribe won't be required.

Ah, but Randy is in a different timezone, and has to start 9 hours after you. That should just about be enough time for you to finish ahead!

Randy, if you did have poor luck that run, how about we start you off with the guys you usually finish close to?

I see from Stage 2 that you finished just ahead of Steve, Jon, Kris and on Stage 3 just behind Cj bon. How about you start together with them all at 13.0 minutes?

N.B. If anyone else had a really bad run and wants a more realistic start let us know and we'll adjust your start time to start a little later. All the better to motivate you...

Cheers,

Geoff
I always have a really bad run .... but that's my 'normal' too

I would offer to start it Rick, but I have been plagued with connection issues recently. Geoff and I have just been tweaking the start for the handicap on thursday, and I got disconnected a couple of times, which was frustrating. If no one else wants to, I can do it, even if I don't actually ride it myself. Kind of on the fence at the moment, legs are a bit tired, after having been woken up after an 8/9 month hibernation.
