AAAC! How frustrating...
Fwiw I can say I have to keep my boys off Xbox Live when I Bkool otherwise bkool just crashes. Even though the Xbox has an Ethernet connection. I just think bkool is very sensitive to data transfer by other programmes etc.

Something interesting under ranking for this race. Under the climbing distance tab there are lots of different numbers. Do some of you take shortcuts?

I know Kipster used to pop in on my rides and offer encouragement to me, it would always make me dig a little deeper, or show off as my wife would say.

I would have cheered AAAC on, but I was too scared I would distract him and be responsible for a horrendous BKool cycling disaster. That and the fact I was watching his screen in awe and amazement.

It's not just your power though, it's the cadence as well, how the hell do you keep those legs spinning at 100 RPM+ for that length of time? Just a though have you thought about seeing if you can get some kind of pay in tariff arrangement with the electricity board? I'm fairly certain you could power a Cul-de-Sac or even a small hamlet.

And are you going to participate in the handicap thingy on thursday AAAC? I hope so, as we will all be watching you close that gap on us very intently.

I am very interested but I want to know what my handicap is, not out of fear ofbeing left behind, but more to do with my tight schedule. We get home from work at 6:20 on Thursdays and finishing BKooling a bit past 8:00 fits in well with her in doors. If I can't start till 7:30 say I might be in trouble.

1. Please do not be too much in awe of the power figures as they are not real, just virtual. If I had a power meter I think I would be closer to the 380's in general but a bit higher for climbing. Let's face it Chris Froomes FTP is, apperantly, only about 415 watts but he has a few less kg than me (about 10) but is about the same height.
2. I have tried to get my average cadence up to about 96 which is not really high and should not be considered as 'spinning'. Have a shot a roller racing and you will experience 'spinning'.
3. I often select a suitable gear before an increase in ascent so this often result in my cadence going up to 100+

You would be starting your run at 7:22pm and 30 seconds to be precise. So that should hopefully fit in ok. Hope so, as it would be interesting to see if you fast back markers push PB's out of the rest of us.

Are you doing any real life time trials?
I have signed up for our local Grand Fondo TT in may, which acts as a qualifier to the world championships. While my goal is just to qualify, I'm sure you would have no problem doing that. Am I wrong in thinking that with the right gear you might even be a contender for the top spot?

OK, if we go for a rerun of Stage one of this months chaingang (Kipsters Kalamity) I have 37 recorded finishers.

If anyone else wants to take part, can they let us know a competitive time for the stage, or failing that their fitness level and who they usually finish close to.

Applying a handicap of between 80% and 90% of their time ahead of the last place I get the following start times in minutes after the start.

How's that look?

Edited for clarity and to group same start times together!

Err, Geoff,
I have just had a closer look at this and realise I am starting with Bill:ohmy: Surely some mistake :stop:. He will be over his cold as well...

There is a real opportunity here to see how well drafting works. I can see some riders coming together and using this to keep the chasers at bay. Should be very exciting :wahhey:
