Last I saw the Pro firmware was up to 3.06.

Managed to find that out already on the net, which was an obvious thing to do in the first place (dohh!!)
I have sent a dit to BKool to see if updates are limited to registered trainers or if my ANT+ dongle is somehow restricting the updates.
If it won't update then I won't get FEC so I may have wasted my money.
But I did gain some almost useless knowledge on the construction of BKool Trainers.

prominator...I had a brand new classic which was ucked straight out the box. never worked properly but it did do the magnet alignment thing when first powered up. I know have a hybrid of classic frame with pro resistance when I-Ride sent me a new warrenty replacement unit. The pro doesnt do the chugga chugga magnet thing. How do you find the firmware version?

looks like were off together Saturday mate, I have a tow rope so you can tow mw along :bicycle:
Bloody families and their petrie dish kids. I was round my brothers wednesday and 2 of his kids were down with something. :cursing:

Well last night it arrived in full and all I am doing, at the moment, is coughing and nose blowing a seemingly endless stream of gunk in various colours from neon green to off white. :B) :surrender:

Not sure I will make the re-run as I am having trouble breathing easily. If I do make it, I will, probably, not be going full bore. Sorry bert no draft from my substantial frame

I feel your pain bro. spent all of Nov, dec and some of jan on my old Tacx cycletrack of 1995 vintage. Yours is one up on that as its just got the good old mini fan on the flywheel to create resistance.....noise, pain and ing boring......you need to default to the sufferfest videos and streaming youtube in those circumstances.

Do you mean how do you know what firmware you have installed?

In BSim - Settings/About BKool.
Then scroll down and your PC spec ANT+ info etc is all there

PS: Did you not find your Pro unit a tight fit in the Classic frame?

I have shimmed my Classic unit in the Classic frame to take out some slack but the Pro body I have does not fit.

Would uninstalling Bsim and then downloading newest more likely prompt a firmware upgrade?

I will give that a go as it only takes two minutes but I was already constantly getting prompts for the classic.

I might even stick the Classic parts in the Pro body just to protect them and power it up again to see what happens

ok...in bsim in the info tab mine shows version 3.06. and the sim is 2.541. When I got it from I ride is updated straight away & hasnt done so since. That was mid Jan 16. The pro fits straight into the classic frame - the only difference was that the pro has the two sprung pins rather than the classics nut and bolt. The nut and bolt was better. Didnt have any problem putting them together.
