Just done it having challenged my quickest time from last year. So it was a red me against a green me and LBHIFI's ghost was there to. So the bottom line was that I got my 4ss kicked by myself and LB who seemed to be within a second of each other the whole way I came in well over 2 minutes behind having found it a tough ride with no let up.
I then remembered that I and LB both had our old pro units which were really black classics with a different support frame. They obviously went quite a lot quicker as we both knew and although no slingshots or hyperspace thingys they were quicker uphill. Don't know about you Lars but I'd quite like my old machine back .
So please use todays ride for my handicap @gbrown which was 28:39. Thanks.
Given that the time difference between Bill and me seems to be fairly consistent, I would expect a time of 30:36. Perfect for a step up in jersey by the looks of it.

Well I am hoping to have a crack at it Friday evening, it'll be my usual 8pm slot if anyone would like to join me, and provide Geoff with a baseline time for Tuesday's handicap race.

I may join you Add's. Would be good to get a few of us together.

Chaingang epic finale - tonight 7pm

Luyando-Bilbao - Blame the Boxer Epic
45km of lovliness - good section of it downhill to lighten the load so not as tough as some of the mildy cruel epics we've had before.
http://www.bkool.com/profile/detail/49733?durationType=DISTANCE&lapCount=1

Warmup will start at 7pm - Look out for Luyando-Bilbao under the 'LIVE' tab only - do not start your own session from the League tab. if you dont see it under the 'LIVE' tab, search for Bilbao' or 'Gail' as she will be starting the session tonight.

Have fun all - I shall be watching with my feet up on the sofa! :hello:

I put it forward many moons ago as it would suit my physique a bit better than some of the horrendous (to me) climbs that were being suggested. I will probbably be finishing in about 4 hours atm

Aha! I see. Well I did the ride a few days ago - admittedly with very sore legs - and I can confirm it's not as easy a ride as it may look on paper! But you all know that right? There's no easy rides in the chaingang :heat:

It's looking like I might have to miss tonight's Chaingang, as my son has rather selfishly taken it upon himself to turn 9 today.
We have family coming round, and my wife is of the opinion that my topless, sweaty torso and tortured heavy breathing being broadcast from the end of the very table at which they will be dining, is not befitting a 9 year old's birthday party.
I can see no problem with it, but my side of the debate appears to be sinking rapidly.
Still, you never know, after all who'd have thought Trump would have made it this far?

Gawd, that looks frigging hard, full on effort for a good hour and a bit. Physio yesterday so knee and IT band pretty sore, likely to save them for tomorrow night.
May join you on the sofa Rick. Don't forget beer and popcorn :okay:
