Thankfully could still see the time so have done a short ride and adjusted it (looks very suss but I promise its right!! ) Kip can verify it as he was watching!

Rick, I have to agree with you about that. It looks pretty suss to me too.

Mine crashed too!! Won't save my epic effort of 13.1 km!

You may not be shocked to hear I have been excitedly awaiting the birth of page 1000 for the last few days. Must be a good 2 or 3 pages of sensible bike chat within all of that.

I was there thinking Bills going to catch him, but then Rick pulls away again, then Bill closes up again at the bottom of the final climb. I think Rick was tiring near the end as the watts fluctuated but he managed to keep Bill at bay.

As always you paint a picture Soarer . My missus has no interest in cycling and maybe that's a blessing.

I just signed up for a bike ride called the 'ditchling devil'. It looks pretty horrendous for a man of my abilities... Still, it's not till June so I've got plenty of time to say my goodbyes...

Looks like a good ride, London to Brighton and back, £15 and bacon rolls included.

Perfect. Just like we'd rehearsed it!

Thanks for the encouragement kip. Was convinced Bill was going to reel me in but the hill steepened just in time for me to get a better rhythm and gain a handful of seconds again.
