@AAAC:notworthy::notworthy:

1hr5mins for Drafting session. By the look of it no drafting 412watts NP 29.2mph average 5.3w/KG

Awesome isn't it? I don't see how anyone can get near his time...unless Bill or LB try and draft his ghost?? Can we stick the ghosts in on this one, the 4 of us from saturday and AAAC as well?

If anyone can hold onto that pace, is going to need some serious effort, if they drop off, I cant see them catching back on. No pulsing either, just raw power!

Hi Geoff
I have just completed yesterdays handicap session, I challenge John 18 Ghost to give someone to chase. I don't know if it will pop up in the league?

Needed approval due to the usual weight not checked glitch!

Coherent weight
The user's weight should remain constant throughout the league

Great time, that's moved your Start time up towards the sharp end a bit! :bravo:

:stop: Ok that's enough about tonight . I'm now planning my assault on thursdays session. I know I can't maintain the power needed for 25 or 23 mph, even with drafting. But 20-21 mph is, I think, doable .

That should be good for about a 1h30m session. Who amongst my fellow gangers will join me at that speed for some drafting?. I know I may be able to push a little more latter in the course if a slow set draft can be built .

:bicycle: theboxers :bicycle:???? :bicycle: ???? :bicycle: ???? :bicycle: ????

I'd be happy to join you on that plan as 20mph is likely to be the best I could possibly hope for over that distance with no downhill sections to take advantage of.

Mind drafting isn't something I've done a lot of, so it could be interesting

Looks like the Bkool pro versus Wahoo Kickr gives a couple of minutes advantage

Yup!

Might be a bit outta my depth but willing to give it a shot.
I am no drafting expert . I have tried it with some other avatars but with no pre-arrangement, this is quite important I think .

I am not going to go full on, I am relying on help to keep @20-21mph . The Idea is to set a speed I think I can maintain for the full distance . It will probably take us 26 miles to get ourselves sorted out :giggle:

I think we should agree, though, that the last 3 miles is a free for all  There has to be a little competition :headshake:

What we/I found in drafting we did, Adam picked up on it. Don't try and go round in a circle every 30secs, let the strongest rider lead until they want to back off, then next in line takeover until they have had enough, so on. Ideally you would want more than 4 so there is plenty of rest, keep in the swirly bit, until computer decides then all of a sudden power effort drops and speed goes up

I agree with this. let the strongest rider power on at the front for as long as they can before dropping back. The draftees can tuck in behind waiting to take over. The aim is to keep the pace up. The faster riders should be able to average 42-43kph especially with drafting. The fastest a bit more than that.

My plans have changed - I can do this week's chain gang now, however I also have the opportunity of a real bike ride so wanted to check who's available tomorrow evening or are we more likely to have a bigger turn out for Saturday's session, as I will save my legs for one or the other.

How about this for dedication - I had to agree to painting & decorating for a few days so we didn't go away, lol...
