Same here Bob. Lofts can get horrendously hot in the summer as you'll no doubt find out. I had to get an air conditioner but not had to use it since October.
I'll also make the rerun and if I can't run at the front I'll be helping further back.

I will have to look into that. We have building works over the summer which would prevent me bringing the turbo down. What did you get? Expensive to run?
I actually think I ride too agressively for first 30k last night. Too much time at front rather than drafting. It was good to run with the fast guys though^_^

No problem, it's a real pity you had so many problems - at least the starting tactic worked well. We could probably cut the start delay down to 5 seconds next time as the others didn't hang about, did they.

Enjoyed the company while it lasted and looking forward to another go.
 We worked fairly well together for first timers ^_^. We set a goal and you kept to it :notworthy:. Now we know the advantage of this I think it will encourage others to join the autobus :okay:

Assuming that near enough the same group starts, 5 seconds should be good ^_^.

The same start I think. Get up to 18/19 mph, to get organised, then push it on to 21/22 mph .

I know I will regret this, as I do everytime I raise something like this . But a similar, longish (but, maybe, not this long), flat stage in every chaingang league could be entertaining . Getting people in far flung places to work as a realtime team was fun,. Although very painful for my legs :boxing:.

It really highlighted my poor pedal technique . I could not quite generate the power, at higher cadences, that our target needed:B). So I had to turn the pedals over slightly slower than I wanted to :cursing:. This generated more hurt in the legs than I wanted :surrender:.

Still, onwards but maybe not upwards  .

I hope to be there tomorrow if i can recover from yesterdays exertions. It didnt help that it got pretty hot in my loft yesterday even with fan on full blast.
It would be really good to get to the 30-35km point in a similar time to last night but as a group so we can push on and benefit from drafting together. Conversely, if I don't recover fully I am happy to drop back and help draft others. This is one where, at least until the last few km, we are all in it together:okay:
My club is officially opening for the season tomorrow, so will probably not be able to make the rerun. Weather forecast is not looking good for next week, so I might have to put my TT road training temporary on hold and do some Bkool'n instead.

I am away Saturday night so can't do the rerun, although I am probably still under Cyclechat group enforced sanctions after my pathetic performance last night! Might try a go tonight, but we are going away in the 'caravan' for a night! It's virgin voyage with the Adski Clan. If it's bloody awful, expect some photos of it in flames.

Actually it now looks like I am out tomorrow. Meal at friends brought forward to 6. By frustrating. I may try earlier in the day or try Sunday. If anyone is in a similar position and happy to join me in chasing ghosts then let me know.

Was hoping the flat stage would bring out different approaches so that's real encouraging to hear! :okay:

Back in the country Saturday night so might give Sunday a go. Don't think we would be spending long on similar bits of tarmac though Bob. You could maybe leave some biscuits for me to pick up along the way.

Really rather looking forward to seeing how this goes, must be that I am missing Top Gear challenges being on TV.

I feel your pain. Happened lots in the past. Mine keeps giving me Java and mcafee update warnings. I "upgrade" but doesn't stop the messages popping up and stopping BSIM.
