Well done the Whites - who needs tactics, we were all over the shop but still managed a well deserved victory.

Bazzer was off and at it from the start and I never got close to him - not too sure if that was a team plan, but I could have been a sleep when that was discussed.

Whorty and myself were together for most of the race, but I couldn't really get much benefit from drafting.

We eventually got back in touch with Bert on the last climb, probably Bert had slowed to allow us catch up - good team captain stuff.

I was out of it by this stage and slowed right down, hoping the other two would push on to the finish behind Bazzer, who was probably in the shower by this stage.

I rolled in at my own pace, just wanting to keep ahead of the chasing Green team.
well done all whites for a first attempt we got to be happy with that!
Indeed. Think how we could do next time if we talk tactics :notworthy:

TBH I did have a bit of a growl at you as I pulled alongside, but then I just tried to figure out where our 3rd place guy was so I got a bit distracted.

Bill, ever the professional, you should have kicked his a*se... it's what Adam would have done (in fact was doing)!;)

Great handicapping there Geoff.

I think this format has legs judging by the comments - it was good laugh on here before we got down to hard work tonight.

Thanks for pulling it together.
I thought today's pseudo tactic banter was hilarious, I did chuff all work today, spent most of the time on here. But since I only have 5 days notice to work, what's the worst that could happen?

Not at all Bob. The drafting was hard for us all I think because of the course terrain. It felt like we were all holding each other up as we passed each other then waited. Our result would probably be better on that course if we had just all gone flat out and ignored the drafting. I assume it was the same for all teams.
Ahem....:hello:......some of us were "flat out"!
