Bill/Lars, I am under no illusion that they are not real watts, just BKool Watts.
This is one of those sessions where BKool technique plays a big part which is demonstrated no better that mine and Bill's first 700 meters during which our speed does not drop below 50 kph and considering its nearly all climbing that is a probably almost humanly impossible for most if not all.
As a BKool turbo does not ever measure power, or even torque, the ability to go so fast uphill as a result of a quirk in the SW Programme means you are already generating insanely unrealistic average watts.
What I think are facts is that we are all roughly the same BKool weight and Bills average Watts/Kg is not hugely different than your but he is almost 3 kph faster over the course and we have all averaged over 50 kph over a course that climbs 50m over 5.3 km which is no mean feat in itself and probably not possible for any of us in the real world on this course or one like it
.
My average speed comes in the middle of both of yours but my average watts are way higher and this is probably to do with me switching back to the Classic.
Remembering that I came into Cycle Chat as an Elite 4 or more, and I have never managed to get back there after I purposely demoted myself when I set up my Pro Rig, I think that my higher Watts is down to the Trainer and nothing else.

As for the best config I think the Pro suits the Chain Gang sessions best but only because it acts more closely to all of your BKool Pro's however both of my Turbo's are stuck on an older version of Firmware due to physical PCB faults and or configuration o I think both of them give me various disadvantages and advantages.
For that reason I am still on the look out for another donor Pro to steal a PCB from but this time I will only go for something that is already at the latest standard.

Thanks for your honesty about the power AAAC. It's the same for all of us though when it comes to an exaggerated watts and speed. I think we often sometimes assume the power is what produces the speed but you have previously explained that it's the other way round. You are faster up steady climbs and steady flats though so you do have an edge, although perhaps just not as much as your power reading often implies.
I do remember you as an Elite 4 and that was really quite intimidating at first and you seemed unbeatable. Managing to get the better of you occasionally has helped though.
Hopefully you'll get a later pro trainer one of these days and we can get a closer like for like comparison.

Do any of you guys have power meters? The price puts me off somewhat but since using bkool I can appreciate how useful they are.

Yep. In hindsight I'd of probably got much more value from a power meter than I do my aero wheels... But i think I'd rather spend money on a cycling related trips than a power meter right now. At least until they significantly come down in price.

@gbrown if i run the TTT again with mine and montys ghost then will the 3rd placed / inc ghosts get team green a time?

No, you can improve your time but you will still be the first or second rider.

If @Soarerv8 or @berty bassett did a league run challenging your ghosts and made sure they finished alongside or ahead then they would ensure the best third place time you could get. Even better, if you joined in and helped draft!

Cheers,

Geoff

if soarerv8 can make it and me , that should do shouldn't it ?

If either or both of you can place a time, preferably better than Monte's and Insomnia's, that would give Team Green a third place finisher.

I would consider one or both of you challenging Monte or Insomnia's league result and adding the other as a ghost if you can, then draft them as far as you can and grab the best result possible. If you can finish just ahead of them that would give the best third place time! :okay:

I purchased a set of power tap carbon rims with the G3 hub power meter at the end of the last year, had a few rides but really looking forward to using them this year. Can also confirm after training with bkool trainer your power zones makes so much more sense. If I was time trialling or racing it's a must training tool...

I would like to have a go at circuit racing (flat ones), just need some confidence as I'm worried about being taking out and my hip/leg injury is still very sore and I wouldn't want to fall on that side again although in theory it's probably stronger now as its being held together with metal plates & pins.
