My wife thinks Kipster is adorable, the dog not me, I'm something else apparently.......
He is. I'm leaving for a 19 day bike ride on the 10th so it is my wife who'll have to do the solo puppy chores. Hopefully he will be housebroken when I get back.
Bobinski, I changed my avatar to a more realistic image of my riding style. It is a picture my wife took outside of Yellowstone a few years ago. I looked for one of some wood bison she took in the Yukon but they aren't on her website and I'm too lazy to look on the computer.

Randy, I will imagine you riding with the bison on that epic ride:okay:

I accidentally pressed delete instead of save, doh!
As it turns out today's times were pretty spot on Thursday almost to the second.

Dynastream make the USB ANT+ sticks

Bill and I took it a little easier coming to the climb but if you look at Bill's HR we was huffing and puffing a bit to catch up
I'm actually pretty amazed by the result of tonight's ride as it felt much slower than Thursday to me. I would have guessed a minute slower, but having just looked at the stats I was wrong. We did seem to take it even slower before the climb this time and I wasn't feeling good having had a meal out in the afternoon and only just making it home in time to start the ride. I guess the taking it easy approach on the flat really worked and saving it all for the climb.
Thanks for towing me up the hill as best as you could AAAC. Short of attaching a bungee I don't think I could have gone any quicker. I sensed that Lars was struggling but I couldn't use that to my advantage as I was struggling too. I did not abuse the blue speed numbers this time. They still went blue but I kept my power steady.

AAAC, what happened? I don't se your ride in BKool.
And what is "DYNASTREAM_OEM" ?
AAAC, I thought maybe 1 minute at the foot of the hill was not enough to hold you back, but I was confident I would hold Bill back and retake some seconds. I was surprised to see Bill right on your tail and ending up only with 5 gained seconds ...well done Bill :okay:.

Cheers Lars. I was flat out coming up the hill to try and catch you and hoped I had saved some reserves by being slower getting to the start. I think AAAC was just going at my speed up the hill to try and encourage me and he could have gone a lot faster. Interestingly, this time your watts/kg is a lot higher than mine.

Decided to pull my finger out and have a crack at the first 50 miles of the DD route on the turbo......OMFG......I've got some serious work to do. Bonked big time at about mile 40'ish. Had to yell to my 7 year old to ferry me Snickers and drink as he was the only one in the house. Work is going to have to go on hold, I can see it, as is family, beer and fun. Only 4 weeks Bridgy and Bill, and something tells me you guys are a little more prepared than me?

You can do it Adam. You might be a little bit behind at the moment, but you got to where you are now in no time at all. Any further you feel you need to progress before the DD, I'm sure you can get there with three weeks of intensive bkooling.:boxing: I haven't trained with any rides longer than what Rick picks out for us which is usually just an hour max so I wouldn't worry too much about longer training rides if I were you. Probably doing all the chaingang rides will be enough. Well, maybe if you do each one twice ^_^

Pretty damned impressive though doing that on the turbo I haven't got the mental staying power let alone the physical bit.

Kipster. No grooming necessary. Just a lifetime of constant shedding.
I demand a stewards enquiry, Kipster quite plainly has 4 legs this is why he has been pedalling so quickly.

My physical limit is not my legs or lungs or even my heart :training:. It's my very tender sit bones  . I can trundle for quite some time. But if my sit bones hurt the rides can be very bloody uncomfortable :B).

Worst bit for me was a flipping stitch about halfway in, on my side. I got off the bike for about 10 seconds to try and stretch it out, but it stuck with me till the end.
Well that and my legs giving up of course!

Yeah, not too worried, I'll get round, but I do definately need to make more time for a bit of training. Considering I was on the turbo for 2 1/2 hours, the bum coped surprisingly well. So thanks for the s-works saddle Tommy, it's working a treat.

Doesn't that ruin your cycling shorts?

Yup! It certainly does. I use cheap shimano ones that are ruined but useable still. No matter how hot a wash and no matter how much soap powder/liquid you use the Vaseline does not come out of them.
