The socks are just wrong.....Do you mean this kit. It would explain a lot about team NOT RED.
Not far off what I looked like last night. Just not as toned or handsome.Do you mean this kit that he is wearing. It would explain a lot about team NOT RED.

Just looked at stage 5 in BSim, Average Slope 12%! Looks like a blue numbers ride for those that benefit from blue numbers (now I'm worried Bill).
Could be worse we could be going down it in which case I would probably loose 2 min.
Certainly don't recommend this for a handicap TTT.
when you say tyre pressure low - how low are we talking ?Unfortunately AAAC the blue numbers still give an advantage even if we avoid abusing that advantage. Abusing it would involve spinning up at say 600watts and then power off and the speed stays high. What I will be doing is riding at a steady power that I can sustain for the duration, perhaps 320 watts. Tyre pressure will be low.
However, it could be the much heavier guys who kick our 4sses tomorrow if they get a much bigger advantage with the blue numbers.

in your opinion then - what sort of pressure for someone who weighs 64kg just asking as i usually shy away from these rides as back wheel is slipping all the time and it knackers my already knackered knee so any help would be handy - if you want to swap names for the evening just let me knowI'm thinking 80 psi on my track pump gauge, which is probably 60 or 70 in reality.
Why is low tyre pressure better bill? Less wheel spin?
No it's less weight and considerably lowers the rotating mass.
