BINGO !! thats the toes done ! hurts don't it

My major medical infliction, heart disease, gives me very little trouble at all, probably on or two wobbles per year.
My inflamed prostrate however is a real pain in the behind, almost literally.
Saddle discomfort only happens when it is a bit angry but the almost constant nagging feeling that you need the bathroom drives you nuts sometimes.
I'll be fine and then I sit down somewhere and bang you suddenly need the loo.
Mentally I am learning to fight it and I have upped my water intake as for a long time I tried to avoid it in order to avoid the bladder filling up but apparently that just made it worse as my bladder shrunk and the more concentrated urine just irritates the water works.
The other downside of not drinking enough is constipation and then that can lead to piles.

Put yourself in a queue in a theme park or on a plane with the seat belt signs on and then press the I was a pee button and it drives you absolutely nuts.
Add constipation and then press I need to dump button and you can turn into a gibbering wreck and hopefully not a smelly wet one
When it first started I once got out of our car at some traffic lights and left the wife sitting in the passenger seat but I have got used to the feeling now and can control it more.
Sometimes I wish I could just swap it all for a painful joint or something but in a way I should thank my lucky stars, after all peeing yourself never killed anyone (unless it involves electricity) and it is a sure way to get you notice in a crowd.
Perhaps I should take up swimming! (and perhaps stick to open water swimming and not public pools).

Sure was. Bauer a nice guy too. Was not going to give up.

When you saw the peleton's sprinters appear around the corner you thought that they were surely cooked but the camera angle must have been deceiving.
Jack has had quite a few pretty bad crashes in his time so it's good to see him winning from a break.

Certainly does hurt. When I first noticed it, and before I learnt how to control it, I couldn't walk. For about a week I literally couldn't walk ... just because my big toe hurt. Go figure. I don't even drink that much so I feel hard done by to have gout! Sweating lots on the BKool doesn't help, so I have to try and stay mega hydrated and this certainly helps.

AAAC, your red wine intake suggests you should swap it for water or, my favourite post ride drink, chocolate milk. No hydration problems but just to be on the safe side re your constipation I recommend bran flakes every other day, and homemade brown/spelt bread in the meantime.

Everyone complaining about getting old :cursing:. I was born broken with 2 dud ankles. Cycling and swimming are about the only physical sports I can do without being crippled for 2 days after. No impact and very little twisting involved on my ankles. Hot spikes through the ankle joints with a side order of crushed glass. xx(. I could play a round of golf but not get out of the car after driving home. The release of pressure brings on the symptoms:cry::blink::B).

Well that's my contributions to the list of ailments

Judging from all the creeks and and moans etc on the 'team not red' radio I don't think you could pin any team down to less than a dozen afflictions!

My collarbone is all mended, but I do have another velodrome session booked in for November so can break something else....

ha ha, i thought I'd broken my toe it was so painful. Couldn't recall how i'd done it, but then I had been on the 'pop' a few days previously so assumed I'd done it in a drunken stupor. Went to docs ... he said not broken, just gout  Never realised such an innocuous illness could be so painful, and i've dislocated shoulders and had it pushed back in to continue the footy game and that wasn't as bad :cursing:

Not an affliction, more an oddity, but when I was young my Dad already had a full set of false teeth and I was jealous because I assumed he didn't need to go to the Dentist and just needed to plonk his teeth in a cup at night to clean them and them stuff them back in next morning.
At the age of 57 I am just about to loose my last milk tooth and of course there is nothing behind it so my first dental gap, top row two from the centre (a fang) is going to be down to a blimming milk tooth!
Good news is, if I could afford it, is that my teeth are too crowded anyway so the loss of that tooth could give me room to have them spread out a bit.
Bad news is that I am a Vampire!

Does anyone fancy doing a little but of data collecting. Its to see what speed difference on the flat between a kickr and Bkool pro. So my tear would be for a couple of you guys have a small velodrome session. Do a couple or 3 laps at 200watts, then again 250w, 300w, 350w and 400w. You can start with 400 if you want. I am looking for constant power runs or near as possible. Don't draft other riders, ideally do a solo velodrome session for most accurate numbers. I will then do the same to see if there is a noticeable difference. Power to weight shouldn't have an affect on the flat. But would be interesting to see if someone alters weight by 10kg and does another run
