Sorry guys, wasn't strong enough to help you too much but really appreciate waiting for me and trying to help me :hugs:you are both gents of the first order :okay:
Decided at about mile 9 that it was probably getting a bit annoying for you and making you work at a pace you were uncomfortable with. Interesting though that once we got a bit out you kept us pegged at a constant time.

Pulled into the drive at 17:01 after dumping son at uni. Went to the garage, fired everything up, threw wife's bike off the trainer, chucked mine on, rushed into the house noted Bobinski had just (fortunately????) thrown up a sock he had eaten, screeched at no2 son who was supposed to have been watching him to clear it up, got changed grabbed a bottle of water and got back out to the garage with 38 seconds of the warm up remaining.
I believe this classifies as unprepared. Plus I am sporting an awful cold that is moving to a chest infection if not pleurisy.
Not that I am making excuses you understand but after lying in the bath for a bit I am quite glad that this message isn't being posted posthumously.

Glad you survived it Soarer, this place wouldn't be the same without you!

But if you do die in the line of duty, can I get that kick arse arcade machine of yours?

LB I feel your pain. After a tough week at work I came home to a house without kids for the night and a need to relax. Mrs B and I took advantage and got through a bottle and a half of white wine whilst working our way through a pretty good salmon and beetroot pie. I have not slept great and my head is a little sore. It's one of the reasons why I am not accepting Andy's excuse for not taking part.

I assume your wife only had half a glass then.

If your turbo is buzzing from the off your stepper motor is probably stuck on the min stop.
If your out of warranty let me know and I can tell you how to sort it it a few minutes with just one screwdriver.
The Pro Ant+ now motors on start up (well my NOOTB one does) like the old classic used to so you should hear the wurr of the stepper motor when you turn your trainer on.
If the stepper motor is stuck on the bottom stop you will get no resistance change.
You can set up a short session with a flat and a climb. Toggle you screen to get rid of the stats bar at the bottom and ride the whole session with a constant feeling of effort.
Have a look at your graph once you have saved the session and you should see a marked decrease in speed on the climb.
However if the speed stays constant you may have a resistance problem.

Berty you were unreal tonight mate! My legs are wrecked. I think you drafted me for the grand total of about 2 seconds... I basically hung on to your back wheel as long as I could then you just blasted of up the road and didn't let up. At one point I convinced myself you were AAAC in disguise !

AAAC, She hardly ever drinks so one glass and the I found half a glass this morning. I resisted the temptation to drink it with my bran flakes^_^

I always offer HID some of my wine knowing she will say no so I then feel better drinking the whole bottle myself but always with the intention of saving half the bottle for Saturday night but rarely even having one glass left the next day.
