I seem to be able to go straight uphill quicker than you - found the same in the weight handicap rides - but I still struggle to live with you on a long flat/undulating course.@gbrown No worries Geoff. I'll start the warmup tomorrow at 7:50 then once the race is started I'll exit then start at my handicap time.
edit: I have fond memories of the handicap chases. Back in the good old days when I was still able to beat @bridgy.
Now he beats me by 10 minutes on a Mountain Goat race![]()
I'm like @Whorty where I find the chaingang more difficult than the goats.
I've just completed training loop and find the variance in speed and high speeds more difficult than to sit at a steady low cadence
Just seen handicap league is back and at further distances than September. I need to get Brownie points with my good lady in the bag as I need to spend a lot of nights on the bike with chaingang, handicap and goats![]()
Best thing now the nights are drawing in and the weather gets all crappie, then you find that you redo stages to beat your previous times you wont have time to go out now![]()
I'm struggling to do all the stages once, let alone reruns
Any tips on keeping my good lady happy whilst always diving in the garage for a Bkool session?
I wouldn't have thought any of us would atually threaden Ryan, the real mountain goatI seem to be able to go straight uphill quicker than you - found the same in the weight handicap rides - but I still struggle to live with you on a long flat/undulating course.
Found that goat ride strangely enjoyable - like Whorty and Breedon were saying earlier you can get into a rhythm that's very different to a fast paced chaingang stage. Not sure how my legs will feel tomorrow though *excuse mode*
