i'm going to sit on the line, don't see a way to monitor time
If you search for the ride, you can see time elapsed before clicking on it, so I think plan is to watch time from there and click on the ride to join it at appropriate time elapsed. Obviously will use a few seconds up while putting in password and clicking "no"

you can see the time countdown on the ride selection/filter page

I think there is a bug, I missed it listed on live. I searched it through filter. I wouldn't let me join saying it needed a password. There was no way to enter a password. I gave up and just did a live ride first I found

Entering the password is hokey at best. I clicked on join, claimed I didn't have the right password, clicked a few more things, then it gave me a password box. Strange. Will look at the suggestions for watching the elapsed time for next week's ride. Just waited on the line this week. Now excuse me while I pass out...

I had exactly the same experience as @JLaw above Andy - thought it was me being stupid but maybe not!

Yeah, start was rubbish. I forgot there was a password and couldn't get into the ride then when I realised I needed a password I couldn't see where to type it in. Probably got started a minute late but Bridgy started even later. I held on as long as I could Paul, but you're too strong for me at the moment.
Darren, you were my final goal and it was touch and go there for a bit. I think you almost got me back on the line.

edit: And yes, it would probably be better without a password even with the random joiners in.

The password was the end of a catalogue of errors for me
  • Go on line
  • Come out and find session with elapsed time
  • Start warm up - b@@@@ flat tyre
  • Change bike, which also has trainer tyre on
  • Bugger need Bkool skewer
  • Get from old bike and put on
  • Bugger - put it on wrong way round
  • Switch it and put bike on trainer
  • Jump on and start warm up
  • Bugger - where's my water bottle
  • Get off, go in kitchen, can't find and then realise on bike with flat tyre
  • At 10.40 to go commence password struggle
Apart from that it was a great ride and I really enjoyed it^_^
Tried to keep @Tiny01 at bay for as long as I could and then had really good battle with @Insomina

Thanks for waiting for me at the start Bill - yeah I had a right faff trying to do the password and get into the ride. Sorry for not sticking together for longer.

I think my improved speed on the last couple of rides is down to a recent tyre change - the old one was getting really ragged - I hadn't noticed quite how bad it was! Definitely can feel the benefit

Good ride though @JLaw, I enjoyed the chase tonight and likewise was well shot at the end.
