Well done Bridgy and all. Especially Gregory, who I think was on a Tacx. Sure to be a front runner with a Pro trainer;)

Good ride tonight, Adam you kept me very honest...

Without sounding negative, I disagree with your comments about the Tacx trainer, a friend of mine who hasn't been cycling for very long has a tacx vortex trainer and when he uses it on bkool and rides a stage that I've done he beats my time comfortably, where as on the road he wouldn't be able to stay with me for 2 mins.

For me personally I can only compare my efforts against other riders on bkool units, whilst I understand that the kickr users are on a disadvantage

If it's any consolation, that really hurt - more than any other ride for ages.

As for the start, I was happily pedaling away at 33mph thinking how it was feeling quite easy when it gradually dawned on me that the speed was remarkably static - even when I stopped pedaling completely! My trainer had become unplugged - had to sort it all out, find the ride again and start from the beginning. At least it happened early on!

Bill - you seemed to suffer a dead-stop when we were together which was annoying (especially for you!). I felt bad and started to slow down to wait for you, then remembered about AAAC breathing down my neck in the league so carried on - sorry!

That as my favorite ride for a long time as it seemed to have a bit of everything. I knew you'd beat me Paul, but for a while I thought I might be able to hold you off on the road. I saw your blue dot making its way through the pack and because it was mostly flat and downhill I thought I had a chance. I remember the dead stop but it was my own fault for not backing off enough. I got most of them right but not that one. Exactly the same happened to Bob where I flew past him going up a hill and he was nearly stopped. I think the dead stops have improved but obviously still needs some work.
Great ride Paul. Probably the best gap between first and second place yet in a chaingang ride :notworthy:

Meant to say, sorry for not turning up tonight.
HID's work schedule kind of drives mine.
I work flexi time so if HID works late so do I and I pick her up on the way home and take my time back Friday PM or save it up for a day off to play with the car or do stuff on the outside of the house and or garden.
HID's late night has moved from Tuesday to Thursday, the former would have suited both the live Tuesday and Thursday runs but now it has changed it beggers up both I afraid.

I beg to differ Sir

The entry in:
Settings>About App/Multiplayer Server Information/PUN Version (1.69 in my case)
must be for BSim as this is present on my laptop when nothing it connected via the ANT+ Dongle.

When I switch on the Turbo and wake up the HRM and Cadence Sensor then line items appear under the below must be the turbo i.e. v3.1 and not 3.11 as reported by others

I could see the version 3.11 bit on bsim on my PC at work which has never been connected to a trainer or anything else

PS: I am watching you young Sir.
Beat me Tuesday with my heavy legs but your bad knee so the only 'excuse' I can make is that I had no carrots.
Today though you smashed that ride. I was watching your stats and you we often showing more than 400 watts descending which, granted it is a Bkool estimation, takes some doing regardless.

I was looking at Gregory`s other rides. He was one of the most powerful with a high wattage and W/Kg ratio matching Bridgy and AAAC. He was several minutes down against the front runners. I took it that the Tacx was slightly disadvantaged

It's no consolation at all! How do you get to recover and be so fast after the effort we both put in the other day?!? Tremendous ridet Paul and I enjoyed my little sprint to get away from you after you caught me but even that was short lived

I had good lungs but very heavy legs and just couldn't spin heavy gears fast enough to generate the speed and power I had Tuesday. Quite dispiriting...I cannot even blame my knee.

You really should have a go on Zwift where you would be riding with Ryan and the other super fast riders.

Thanks - I'm still kind of waiting for you to take a few minutes out of me on one of these league stages though!!

Thanks Bill. For the record I didn't have any dead stops at all on that ride. I was being careful on the transitions but was starting to think the problem had been solved until I saw it happen to you

My first race for awhile and I found it tough - enjoyed the battle with @rob01792 but he was too strong for me, and I realised I wasn't going to bridge the gap before I had to make a quick decision on the last climb.

I got the 7% battery left message on the screen - should I risk losing the ride or climb off, which is not a speedy process for me. School boy error as I hadn't pushed the plug fully home.

Still it's good to be back, and hopefully I'll feel the same in the morning - it was a lot harder than my recent 5 hour gentle club rides in the real world.

I have no idea what the PUN is, I don't think it has anything to do with either the BSim version or the Bkool Pro firmware! Something to do with the Server end (i.e. Bkool's Server software) if I had to guess.

The current BSim version is definitely v3.11 (the previous version was v3.10), this is listed clearly at the top of the About the App in BSim (Bkool Indoor).

I would say from your picture that, yes, your firmware is v3.10. I can't see this as I don't have a Bkool trainer. It seems to be a coincidence that the Pro firmware version is currently almost the same as the Bkool Indoor software version.
