I really enjoyed that too @Monte. Even if I am finding my reintroduction to Bkool extremely demanding and tough. I am falling off the damn thing absolutely f&@;€$*#%+ed every time. It's all I can do to drag myself to bed.

And then, to compound things, @Soarerv8, did you catch and release the beast from your garage at my house? A bloody rat gnawed through the extension lead in my garden shed, and tripped the house out. From my lofty perch astride my bike, I screamed instructions at HID to trip the breaker back on. Luckily the Turbo was on a different bank of breakers and didn't trip, but lost connection, lights and nearly my marriage. Barking instructions to a comically short partner, who must have pointed out twenty times that, and I quote, "I can't f*****g reach!!" was very tricky, when you have no breath to spare at all.

When she finally managed to arrange a suitably precarious and high reaching pile of garage junk, and tried to trip it back on, Soarers crocodile was still welded to the cable and it kept retripping..... my breathless explanation on how to try each trip in turn to find the offender, was not well received from atop a wobbly gym ball.

In conclusion gentlemen, I was as lucky to finish, as I was to remain married....

Who's up for doing a hill climb later?

I was going to swerve it but I need something to counterbalance what I've eaten today and what I intend to drink tonight. I can't believe I'm 37 and only just discovered the simple joy that is a box of wine. 3 bottles in one innocent box? Don't mind if I do

Wrestling a man sized rat everytime you want to enter your pain cave sounds like warm up enough to me
The fear as the doors come up on the garage of something leaping out and grabbing me by the throat or something even more precious lower down leads me to press the button to open the doors from about as far away as the range allows. Just need to remember the nice snacks lying all over the garage are warfarin based.

What time were you thinking Tommy? I might sweep up for you. Need to wash my bike first mind you. Rode lead cyclist for a local 10 mile running race yesterday, and it's sat in the garage absolutely minging at the moment.

Was all I could do to stay ahead of the elite front runners on the uphills I can tell you.

But if nothing else, it was a stark reminder of why it is so good to use a turbo, with a fridge, radiator and central heating all within easy reach. My toes and fingers were freezing!

If others are up for Goat 3 at 5 I'll tag along at the back. Looks like about 6.5k up, and the rest down. Could be an interesting one for those of the more 'muscular' physique .... sometime to gain on the descent  Perky is only one to complete so far at 42 mins .... a sub 50 for me would be a target then.
