@Northern Tortoise

Stuart, you're going to have to change your handle to Northern Greyhound after last nights performance!
And start 10 minutes behind me!!!

Well at least the turbo held up better than I did tonight.

Looks like my top cover had taken a bash and was probably catching the roller. I have patched it up with some gaffer tape and will see how it goes. I could run without the top cover if it happens again to isolate the problem, as AAAC suggested.

I also got well and truly defrocked by Bkool after tonight's ride - knocked back from Active 3 to Amateur 8, which is probably a lot more realistic - so Team White for me, at least I won't have to buy a new strip.

If only one could buy or repair strips, another new feature to prevent you from using your well earned points.

A nice new tyre definitely helps! But with my own fitness progress I definitely have found I have made a number of seemingly sudden leaps forward in fitness rather than a very smooth improvement - I don't know if others have found the same?

It's almost like you're gradually accumulating fitness/stamina/strength improvements, and then your body reaches a tipping point where everything falls into place and theses improvements allow you to push that little bit harder/longer and as a result you jump ahead in speed compared to others.

That's how it seems to have been for me anyway, and it's not all tyres as I'm only on my third tyre since starting on Bkool and the first two were identical!

I'd be interested if anyone else feels it's been like this for them?
I have been to the same spot at Gran Canaria for the last 3 years, and have had similar weight each time, so I can use this climb https://www.strava.com/segments/1252319 to measure my fitness for each of those years.
From 2015 to 2016 one minute gain, from 2015 to 2016 10 seconds gain, so In the real world I have achieved a very marginal gain during the last year. So the changes in my virtual performance recently are exclusively due to changes in software/hardware.

It makes sense that you younger gues makes bigger fitness gains, since us oldies have to use more % of any gains to counteract the natural deterioration of the body.

:surrender: I must be either weak legged or weak willed. That workout, VO2 max 9, was just too much for me. I just about made 30 minutes :bicycle:  :surrender:.

I must be slightly off in health terms as I just can't seem to get going,:B). I may need to do some low level longish sessions to get myself up and running again. Any time I try to put out highish power, for me, I just hit a wall and go down hill from there..

I recall repairing two of my sets of kit in the new bsim. But I can not design any new ones :banghead:

Can't repair mine. Press the repair button and then it goes as per below.
My other custom outfit is not wearing out at all.

AAAC, I appreciate you looking at it but something is not right when my reported time gap to other riders (upon completion of ride whilst doing cool down) is different from what ultimately gets recorded. I'm going to take photos of actual readings on next cycle.
Not a new issue, see Breedon's second comment on Pg 1739. Thanks again

Do you mean this comment:

You was all over the place i thought you finished about 2 minutes ahead of me but i look at the league table and your below me very strange
