I've spent quite a bit of time this year trying to find a decent training plan for the winter. British cycling have quite a few which are all professionally prepared and seem pretty sensible. Zwift also has built in plans all based on FTP which are good. Bkool has added training sessions but no structured plans so far.

Is there any advice to help identify strengths and weaknesses (apart from the obvious bulge of my tummy!)

I've decided to actually do some proper training for my cycling. Does anyone know any good books and are there any plans available for the bkool? I already have the Lance Armstrong book although I have to take that with a pinch of salt (or is that EPO?)

I'm doing TrainerRoad workouts.

I think it comes down to big quads built up from dragging an overweight :mrpig: around. I'm just trying to get the rest of my body to catch up! Stamina has always been an issue but using bkool has been great training... I'm still left far behind on long steep climbs though...
That is just physics, cant overcome gravity. I tell myself that. Despite your ability to make huge power, a little guy will always beat you a long climb

Unless your names Chris Froome

I guess you get some people who have the power, stamina and heart lungs and ability for crazy O2 uptake, although technique is supposedly slightly dubious (for a pro anyway!)
Interestingly there is a bkool route for the last tdf tt that was uphill, if anyone's interested? Bloody ridiculous route, Froome would have been miles ahead of me!

Yep it's all relative power to weight ratios. To be fair froome isn't exactly a whale at 77kg(?). Just relative to Quintana, Contador etc.
