It was the comments on the road that spurred me on - I presume that was you Whorty.

Rob and I were together for the whole ride, so a good bit of practice for the Team Time Trial.

Well done all - I understand where Monte is coming from it's much more enjoyable when you have company.
Yes, guilty of the road comments .... I think I may have overused them, but they were fun :wahhey::dance:

Two weeks now I've ridden a solo ride, come on chaps that have similar times to mine where are you - we could have had a right battle like the front runners had.

I'm down with bronchitis at the moment. If there's a re-run on Saturday I'll try to make it but only if my chest improves by then.

Anyone else suffer with incline resistance continuing into descents? It didn't happen to often and seemed to go away as ride progressed but made gear changes tricky, having to wait for the resistance to ease. Certainly happened over the top of the 11% and I think caught bill on naother incline.

Bill, well played Sir:okay:

Monte, great ride too:okay:

Bob, thanks for the drafting help. That must be one of our first drafting efforts.
I wasn't really planning to make that break, but was trying something I hadn't done for a while. That was keeping all the power for the minor up gradients and coasting down any down hills at 150 watts or so. And when a gap opened up between us I just decided to keep doing it to the end.

I thought you were trying to see if I was going to break! I really couldn't shift you or aaac and have enough left to for the end.

I had some strange Trainer 'features' occurring today.
When first got away on the front I suddenly noticed I was holding high kph for relatively low Watts on the screen (accepting that BKool calculates Watts from the 'conditions').
So I backed off and 'waited' for you both. When we were all back together everything behaved normally again however my W/kg are down on Bridgy's and the above early low 'indicated' watts could explain that.

Other than that that was a long and tough haul.

I had a plan again that evolved as we went on.
1. Stay with Bridgy and DP and don't do all the work.
2. If DP goes off of the front chase him down, take Bridgy with you if you can, but don't work until Bridgy is back.
3. If Bridgy goes off of the front chase him down but try not to take DP with you (we, Bridgy and I need to close the gap in GC)
4. If the elastic breaks work with Bridgy
5. Keep this up to 3/4 in.
6. After that start testing on the climbs (if you can call them that.
7. If the elastic breaks keep it going but don't kill yourself for 10 seconds
8. Monitor the gap and if it opens kill yourself.
9. Remember to keep it going at the finish re the pre-ride post.
10. Resuscitate self after killing self (keep that defibrillator to hand).

before I throw the bloody trainer through the window, can someone explain the scheduling bit for me? I thought I had understood it but apparently not. Trying to generate FTP test, I schedule it for today, but then when I check it's not been scheduled even though it stated I had ! So tried to schedule one for tomorrow, same thing happens. Ant help would be greatly appreciated.
I tried but didn't schedule!
I think the ftp link is not scheduling at the moment. Can someone else try?

Happens to me all the time, it's really frustrating when the decent starts and your pushing 400 watts or more and going nowhere.
I normally find I have to work harder on slight downhills than slight uphills as well (feature).

Yep - tells me it's scheduled but it ain't there Guv.
Another feature.
We should make a feature list and send it to BKool.
It would be a feature length e-mail.

If I started a thread of we could all edit it and create a list for a grown up to send in.
What say you all.

I kept trying to pull away, my last attempt being on an incline and as soon as you came back to me I knew you were stronger and anyway, I was cooked! I hope to be stronger for the re run and if we can work together perhaps we can get closer to the front runners.

It's a good idea to keep a log of all the glitches, but I think it might be best to send emails with just one problem at a time, rather than a long list. I did that once and it got very complicated - they are easily confused!

Email is info@bkool.com - I tend to send them an email every time I come across a glitch if it annoys me enough. I would encourage others to do the same as there's no other way to be sure they know about it
