Had a bad day at work and I forgot to take my car in for it's MOT and it expires Saturday.
Only realised that when I got home just in in time to get ready so by the time I started I was well wound up re my reasonably quick start.
But if you think I was cruising then your wrong.
When I got away from you both the second time I knew I had to stay away but I was waiting for a last minute dash from either of you.
I was really on the rivet by the end. In fact I was on the rivet for the last half.

Shame really as at one point my average power was good enough for a Blue Hat (430 watts needed)

For Bob. I found the climbs that were there were long enough for the resistance to cut in and therefore you got the delay coming off of them as well.
I missed a few shorter descents because they weren't long enough for the resistance to change so I ended up 'climbing for longer'.
All in all that course did not cut over at all to that 'cooking on gas' feeling, instead it was just a long old slog, most of it on my own,
Also I have said before that shallow descents always feel harder than a climb of the opposite percentage (e.g. -0.5 vs +0.5).

For those that saw riders passing them not in the list that was most likely us front runners who were a lap or more ahead and perhaps more than two places in fron of you.

DP. I assume you have several outfits in your locker that were there before the BSim GUI change ass you have a different strip on (stolen from an Astana design perhaps).
As long as the car is booked in its OK to drive to mot station. I hear halfords in st austell can pass it without testing anything!
I had a couple of outfits to use from before. When they fix it would be good if we could create our own designs.... you may see daddy pig out on the virtual roads! Not sure I can change my ass though...

That was.a good ride! When I dropped back to draft with you both I expected to stay at the front but you both kept overtaking me^_^ it was nice to have a rest but I thought I would do the hard work and we would all benefit from a nice ttight group. The lead boys, while stronger than us, also benefit from drafting together, something the rest of us have to leant from...and I say that recognising I am not so good at drafting myself!
I have this guilt feeling I need to take my turn although I die quickly. If there's a next time I'm not sticking my nose in front!

I was going to ask what has happened to get the old Bill back.
However the other thing I was thinking was that I was close to blowing a gasket and bill was only a few seconds behind so was I just on a bad day?
Anyway ghost set for Bridgy and DP to sit in on on Saturday and then take me at the end where I was tiring.

No HRM by the way, got ready too quickly and forgot it until it was too late.
Bill and I had a bit of cat and mouse in the last few k's where we did slow down a little bit as srategy startwd to rake place. I thought you winning aaac was a done deal!
Can't make Saturday as at a wedding (and Mrs pig is driving )

For a while I thought you and DP were just going slow but then I noticed my power was well up on usual. Still didn't seem quite right though. Saturday could be interesting but probably have to leave it to one of the other two to take advantage of your ghost as even being right on DP's tail for most of tonight I didn't feel able to make the break over to you. Hopefully I can be in a good viewing position if nothing else.

I'm not sure I was in a fit state to think or do anything strategically. When we slowed down I just desperately needed a rest and was happy when you slowed too. As you say, there never seemed any doubt that AAAC was going to win.

These were the riders we were lapping as the stage was made up of a series of laps.

Yep, I noticed and it was the only company I had tonight, if for a brief moment - mainly the fast boys out to play.

I found that really tough but thanks to Jim's comments on the road I managed to complete.

I'm impressed with myself topping 5 W/kg on that up and down course.
No wonder I was wacked!

You were flying and pacing a good three minutes ahead of my time.. my iPad crashed (cos that's all it does) and when I rejoined your race, you had lost time.. sorry I couldn't join you GW but as you say, I was there in spirit.

My ride is showing now and I agree with Bill, watts up a bit with the update. 1st time for a while I have averaged 4w per k. I hope I have a little more In the tank for the re run Saturday.

I'm resting today and carbing up :hungry:properly and taking it easy on Saturday HID is at work then so maybe a afternoon nap :tired: just to make sure I'm fresh ready for the rerun

Was a little bit disappointed that it wasn't as hilly as it looked on the profile

Me too Breedon. I was particularly annoyed at speed collapses going downhill. Perhaps you and I should make some suggestions for the chaingang rides that involve a greater height gain? Who knows, it might bring us closer to the fast guys. Let's see what they are really made of:tongue:
