Because my ride still hasn't appeared and the league is still live I've decided to have a re-run tonight at 5pm. sorry for the short notice. Feel free to join the ride either on time or later although all the ghosts will be leaving the start line at 5:10 sharp with me ;).
Unfortunately I'm still knackered from yesterday so don't think I'll beat my yesterday time.

Bill can't you do a dummy run and edit the time? Seems only fair if possible.

Shut up legs :notworthy:

The longest I've been on a bike is 3 hours but about 1/2 was dh or flatish. 3h uphill is seriously painful, you've earned your dessert today

At the moment, I've got sore legs, a huge thirst:popcorn:, despite eating and drinking all the way up, and one mightily pissed wife for spending so long on the bike:sad: Well she did buy the trip  What does she expect me to do, turn up un-prepared. i'll give her a big :smooch:
I feel a little battered:B) and Bkool has lost the ride for the moment, it did save it i'm sure

For a big guy, it began to become torture after 2.5hours, about the time the wife marched in wanting to know what I was doing. On a proper hill I could of cycled away, whilst she bent my ear walking beside me^_^

This is the reason I have my edge running as a back up. It will not read the same as bkool, on most rides, but it will record the effort at least. The major climbs have been quite close, barring the height gain.

Yeah, happy New Year all !
I was wondering where your ride went, but re-doing it today and squashing everyone but DP is just crazy . I don't know how you do it. I need at least 2 days between rides to perform anywhere near max.
I live close to the beach and I'm considering to jump into the ocean just to try and recover faster.

Well done 3.5hrs on a trainer is more mental than physical, if you're thinking of doing it again give us a shout if there's some one with you it could make it easier slightly

Great riding Andy, it's bad enough cycling uphill for one hour let alone what you attempted and succeeded!
Re the wife, can't you spray some water from the bottle in her direction until she leaves you alone? ^_^

Will do Breedon, I'm not a climber so you would probably get rather frustrated with my speed. The 30 bots I loaded did and all but one buggered off and left me at the back
