just posted this:Hi, I posted yesterday about my experience moving from a pro to a NEO. I have enjoyed using my pro within bsim for 18 months and much enjoyed what bsim has to offer. Indeed i have extolled its virtues to others including on facebbok pages for bkools competitors. However i now find myself hugely disadvantaged in bsim with the Neo compared to Pro and Go users, measurably so. My experience is echoed by other Neo users and Kickr owners too. We all know how to set up our units and there are no issues with signal strength etc. The only issue is that bsim favours bkool's own turbos over those from other companies. This is somewhat surprising given the wholesale adoption of the Ant fec protocol. These issues do not exist in Zwift or other competing products My subscription finishes this month. I am reluctant to renew while i cannot racr and compete with my bkool cyclechat friends or in the Winter Cup.Can you say what bkool will do to level the playing/riding field so that non bkool turbo users can ride and compete with bkool turbo users in Bsim? I would like to stay with Bsim but without reassurance will have no choice but to decline to renew my subscription.

LIVING THE DREAM
The Irony is they were the first company to demonstrate ant fec working on a turbobtrainer YET they held it back for over a year which meant pro users were not able to use erg in Zwift AND TrainerRoad making my annual scubscription to the latter worthless. TR refunded me and I will repay that by moving from bkool to TR and use their module within Zwift. I was one of very many users , hundreds at least affected by bkools reluctance to embrace competition with Zwift etc which I can understand but TR? Bkool doesn't begin to offer the training modules and support of TR. this all smacks of a company choosing, in a rapidly expanding market, to expand in its own way and to consolidate around its core turbo purchasers. It is the exact opposite of the approach of other turbo producers who compete to see their trainers used in Zwift, TR etc and where measurable compatibility is necessary and where info and trainers are shared with them to enable this. In Zwift and Tr you can use a power meter and bkool pro together- why not in bsim? Bkool are either incredibly short sighted or have great confidence in a financial model based around an estimated core users base.
And there has to be an easier way to calibrate than a dial in, at their convenience? Perhaps something automated?

Do I detect a bit of frustration here?

I feel very lucky today. I did my second attempt to WC 9th stage. I was surprised that i ride few seconds faster than yesterday and lucky for me pending session was uploaded to bkool, only for a 2nd attempt but it's there. Todays 2nd session vanished to bitheaven, nice to practice charity with a bkool ;).

Here's frustration:

Just got my Bkool Pro 2017 back from the workshop and they said nothing was wrong with it. I doubt they have tried a bike on it since the noise is overwhelming. Same noise a had on my very first Pro. That alone should be enough to get a replacement unit.

But the main problem is that I can't even ride a normal session. Everytime I start to pedal it looses the signal:

Noise

So despite me having 3 ant+ enabled trainers and power pedals, I can't do a proper Bkool session :banghead:.

- I can use my Tacx Satori Smart if I want to go 200 kph at 60000 watts.
- I can use my power pedals if I don't want to participate in leagues and swith to "dumb" trainer mode.
- I can use my new 2017 Bkool Pro if I just want to spin with no computer connected.
- I can use my old Bkool Pro if I want to spend 3½ hours going up the Alpe d'Huez (think I can walk up faster )

I've got two agents working on why I cant upload real world Garmin or Strava rides - Like I used to and like I want it to - They have been looking into it for ten days now. Yesterday I received an email asking me if I was satisfied with the service and outcome to my requests.....

I said no.

right where was I ...:addict:

Buy a new bkool pro (or get someone to) but then return "it" saying you don't want it?
