My apologies to all for not being the competitor yesterday that you may have been looking forward to meeting/fearing  or not^_^ Sadly I was a little under the weather evidenced (I am a lawyer ^_^) by HR peak nearly 30 bpm below normal peak and power output that didn't hit zone 4 let alone 5. My seatpost issues didn't help. I should have marked the correct height. After it dropped in the morning I eyeballed a safe height for rest of the day but having measured it against my fit measurements this morning I can say it was 5cm too low! Personally underperforming was a little frustrating but I have to say pales in importance compared to the pleasure in meeting you all and sharing a beer afterwards.:cheers:And chatting shite in the journey home with TT:smile:

I do think Lee and Dean were pretty much riding within themselves for much of the day and expect them to be a little more competitive in the Pyrenees :okay:

As I said on the train Bob, I think you definitely did too much training during the week to expect to be in your best form. Those workouts you're doing look brutal to me.! And from what I understand Breedon is doing something similar. Still, it was only a social ride so it's not like anyone was racing :reading:

I think this one shows us off to the best, it's a long segment but Tommy in 72nd place over all. When I did it in to a head wind in July I was 5 minutes slower on that segment. Once I lost Tommy's wheel yesterday I had no chance.

We all did pretty well on the segment, it was just a case of once the wheel is lost its extremely difficult to get back on. Plus they're youngsters compared to us oldies, my excuse and I ran out of gears

I think that is when I went past Berty :hello:. To give it some context I owed him one after he blasted past me up a hill! Hunched over on the tri bars in full aero tuck. The little mountain goat still took the time to look over at me with a massive grin across his face! Quality!

Looks like the battery was running low in your electric motor at this point.

I'm pretty sure I've got the video loads of video segments recorded, I don't know how close I was to you at that point I remember you, Bridgy and Kipster power by together, I couldn't get high enough cadence and got dropped. Will look tomorrow. I'll initially post little clips for a taster and then try a build a compilation later.
