Speak for yourself! I was ballsout all day trying to stay within visual of you guys

You did really well over what is a lumpy part of the world, apart from a couple of bits where the competitiveness of others came to the fore, you were never that far off. It was a pleasure to ride with you.

Considering most of you riding is on the turbo, to hit the IoW and do what you did is fantastic.

Carl it's was a tough day, I certainly felt under the cosh on a few occasions, especially climbing hills and there were lots of hills. The look of everyone at the pub afterwards indicated that we were all rather tired, yawns galore .
It was no DD but it’s still a tough and lumpy ride. I just thought it was the sea air that made us tired!

Sorry you got dropped, not long after that Tommy and Paul dropped me.

Also noticed that my right knee is tracking out slightly at the top of the pedal stroke. Will take a look at the bike set up

Cadence too high, couldn't sustain it, that or too slow. My gearing runs out at 30mph, there were periods were 31-32mph was required whilst pedaling, I wasn't able to muster that cadence without going into the red.

Now in search for a bigger outer ring that still fits the front derailleur

In the interest of capturing a good video, I let you guys pass and got the long shot :laugh:

It's a shame you didn't have a GoPro facing backwards, you'd have captured me leading the others out to overtake you ..... honest

I had a fantastic day. Most of the time I had someone with me so was rarely a lone cycle ride and the times you all went off it was because there was a climb where we re-grouped further down the road ... or in reality, where you guys re-grouped and rested and I caught up with you and carried on riding to get a slight headstart for when you caught me up again

I reckon if I could lose some weight I'd be better on those climbs ... still not good enough to warrant the top I wore, but maybe not dropped in the first 10 metres :heat:

Would love to join you guys again if you don't mind Mr Slow at the back, but would understand if you need to do a longer harder day and don't want to be held back :okay:
