Be careful and wear your helmet tight
And watch out for slippery tree roots at 45 degrees to the track.

I already took the liberty of adding your ghost Paul. What kind of BIG lights have you got. My 1200 lumen Magic shine (which seemed amazing 5 years ago) are probably way out of date by now. I'm guessing its more like 2400 lumens these days.
Well, you can certainly get some lights with HUGE lumens (claimed at least!) these days, but there is something of a trade-off between brightness and battery life etc. I have a 2,200 lumen dual LED light on the handlebars plus a 1,100 torch on my helmet - which is plenty I think! It does get very dark in the woods

These are in the "can't see hand in front of your face" kind of darkness

I'm working out if town this weekend so did stage one this morning like @Del C . I swear I finished under 30 minutes because I knew my ftp expired but now it shows 33 minutes. Better re-ride next week.

Any chance of taking a vid of your escapades and sticking it in bkool? We could all do with a laugh, ahem I mean checking out your off-road skills!
Absolutely not! You'll have to make do with videos of Bob falling off for now!

Your saddle slopes more than my shoulders on a work day.

It's optical illusion, the bike is leaning away. There is a tilt forward, but only a few degrees.

It was black tape before Dean, fancied something a bit brighter. It also matches my bike box. It's only tape and will change next year if it becomes tatty/discoloured.
