I was hoping to stay ahead of him but could see him pulling me back and, as you say, he just had too much at the end.

I was hoping we might work a bit more together but we never really seemed to get it going.
Brusgaard doesn't seem to like to work with people, instead preferring to race against at all times. At least I can't recall him working with me at any time, but then there could be another reason for that

Are rides uploading to the league these days or do I need to have my attempt verified?
Can't see any rides waiting to be approved in the chain gang league. Might just be Bkool slow to update everything

Well Carl, time to break the radio silence. I think that both Bill and Keith can attest to my willingness to work together. Last week, the 3 of us worked together for quite a lot of Kms (mostly Bill and I pulling and taking turns in falling back and pickup Keith ).

Having ridden the dreadful WC stage just before the CG yesterday, I didn't have the power at the start and missed the "train" of Per, Bill and Keith. I then slowed down to wait for Del C, and by 5.5 km he finally joined me. I then put myself in front, trying to tow him, but after 200m or so he sprinted away, not willing to stay on my wheel. I let him have 300m alone, and then I put the hammer down and easily caught him again, but again he sprinted away, clearly a sign of NOT wanting to cooperate. I then gave him a 30 second lead, and then again put the hammer down and caught him and went ahead of him with 6-7 seconds. I thought that might show him, that he'd better stick with me, so I slowed down at 10km marker to let him catch me, and at 10.7km he did.

I then towed him until the 13km mark, where he pulled away again. OK, then he had me convinced, that he didn't want me around. So I reverted to doing some intervals (just look at the sawtooth graph on my Activity details), knowing that I could catch him in the end, if I wanted to. You joined in as a spectator at 13.9km, but are still able to judge my riding?

You can watch the video from last night (and last week) if you want to, but I guess not...

Here's the link for yesterday, should you want to base your judgement on facts instead of speculation:

First, welcome back :hello:

I can only take it as I see and I've not experienced riding with you .... you blast off from the start and if I do manage to catch you up you don't seem to want to draft. But that's not a bad thing, if you're wanting a harder workout drafting wouldn't be the right thing to do. I often need to get some drafting in to keep up with you faster guys.

Strangely it didn't feel like that to me!

Maybe put it down to my inexperience at drafting and then moving to the front, as I was actually hoping to work together. Maybe I didn't get the power right when I moved ahead as I was trying to keep an even pressure on the pedals.

Maybe next time then. I'll try to get the through and off going better!

Still it was a good work out. I've been struggling up to a couple of weeks ago, so I was pleased with the ride. You had the power to take it at the end, so well done!
