Hello people,

Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place and started a new discussion

Just thought id ask as ive recently discovered the delights of smart turbo training and subscribe to the excellent bkool.
Looking at your threads i see you have some kind of riding events a couple of times a week. Can anyone join? or do you need to be invited.
I've done a few of the routes on the app, but think it would be fun to try and do a weekly thing. I can't really get out with my local club rides now so was looking into joining a group.
Any ideas how i could do that and maybe embarrass myself on a group ride by getting dropped?

So about the long waffling

@shimceltic isn't far from you and I'm a Yorkshire exile.. we should team up and you can both drop me.:surrender:

You used to drop me so I'm only repaying the compliment!

What is absolutely clear to me and anyone who follows @Randyberlin and myself is this. We have been and continue to be very consistent in our cycling ability.. When there was magic dust or what ever you call it floating around, we never got any. Whether we pumped our tyres <Spelling> up to 175psi (@AAAC 76C ), it made no difference.. Then along come you so called "I'm new to this so please go easy on me" brigade.. hey presta (SWIDT).. all of a sudden you're elite.. at least @Whorty admitted he cheated (see CycleCheatgate) or ask @Brusgaard ....

Cycling weekly and GCN have articles this week on e-doping.. we've had it on here for years.. Only downside is now Bkool have upped their game and the trainer is now very hard, people will have to find a much more powerful variable speed drill. :stop: I'm talking about you Pep & Dark... you know who you are..

Right, enough of this waffle... I'm going to powerup and draft my way to a cup of Yorkshire Tea.

sithi..

I felt strong tonight, lots of rides against people I don't know at 85% but once it's you or @Brusgaard then I'm prepared to go deep and suffer. I thought I'd see if either you or Brus got a gap early on and then I would have waited up but by the time you dropped him I had to just put my head down and go for it. Can't wait for next week, I never realised how much more fun it is racing people you know.

Yes, that's what keeps this thing alive. Its all about racing people on here we know and trying to beat or get beat and then later on getting revenge. It was going really well before the dark side robbed us of a lot of the competition, but as you say, it's getting better again, and should only improve further as we get back into the swing of it. I quite like the new sim as it is more realistic, even if its taken away most of the bkool pro super powers.

It's a while since being on here as have been using traineroad and more recently Sufferfest which is great as it gives you targeted cadence which makes it harder
I am doing two events in November and March which involve 8000m climbing in three days and 10,800m climbing in four days.

I was going to sign up to BigRingVR to do at least one mountain climb a week as part of my training but have been reading that the Bkool app has really improved since I was last on it, just over 2 years ago until I was seduced by the dark side!

BigRingVR appeals for the HD videos but Bkool appeals as it will have my old times that I can use to judge where I am fitness wise

Have any of you kind ladies and gents used both recently and got any comments?

My doping consists of coffee and dance music with a high bpm, I try to keep the cadence in line with bpm but it's normally my heart beat which matches the 160 bpm

Great ride guys, thankyou 👍. I managed not to dork your session up this time.
MicroKid you nearly killed me again, I would never push that hard training on my own!
Sorry Andy, will do better next time, instead of "nearly"

Aleman has some great videos. I think you did these in real life.

Thanks Randy

Has Bkool improved as per the reviews in your opinion?
It has become more realistic. The video feed seems to have improved also. The big change is now instead of speed coming from the roller it is based on power. I ride in all 3 Zwift, Bigring and Bkool, but with the almost limitless courses and the closed races Bkool is my favorite.

Eyup @Perky77 welcome back...

Bkool is honest now. No more 20mph average rides, it’s tough all the way.. 3D has much improved too.
