So @shimceltic you up for mugging @AndyMacca?
On the handicap I'm working away. On Thursday I'm gonna get the lead and use the team to control the peloton.... Or maybe not!

LIVING THE DREAM
Just a note guys.
I have just one more medical check to be done before I commit myself to killing myself on a turbo trainer.
I have managed to get some really quick checks done courtesy of the NHS and there is just one left to I be done which I call the gut camera.
I have had the letter to book my appointment and once that is done and the results are back I hope to be back in the saddle as I am missing the pain.
It's better than sex, apparently?

Are you going to ask for some therapeutic EPO?

The gut camera? I've heard some prefer it in the other end.

Too quiet here. I think you must be having great weather and easing lockdowns. We are just starting to get back to getting a little more freedom. Tomorrow I'm traveling to Haines ( where @keithaitch has a cousin) for work. It's the first travel since March. If coming from out of state you have to be tested 72 hours before you get here or get tested at the airport on arrival and quarantine until you get the result.
We still only have 11 cases in our island so testing and tracing seems to be slowing the spread. It still shocks me how many selfish people won't wear a mask.

We've started easing restrictions but still having 200+ deaths a day...
Too slow to implement restrictions and too soon lifting in my opinion

Our isolation has put us behind the rest of the country, so now we are better prepared.
Probably like you, lots of work waiting. The broken stuff has been piling up and calibrations overdue.

Regarding masks, it's similar here hardly anyone wearing them when they dont have to. I think we're too embarassed as it's just so unusual for us, oddly enough back in January in Hong Kong I was happy to wear one there but I guess it was 'normal' as everyone was, in fact not wearing one was weird. It is stupid literally dying of embarassment! I will start wearing one when shopping now (apart from cycling it's the only time we go out) if nothing else to make others feel more comfortable. Thanks for the nudge 👍
Don't think I'll wear one on the bike though, hard enough breathing already.

I was wearing to the shop while furloughed and did feel a bit of a dick!

We have 2 grocery stores and in one it is mandatory in the other about 75% are wearing them. For us it is the one proven thing that can help. If it’s mandatory then it’s like the other sign that’s always been here “ no shirt, no shoes, no service”. I’m tempted to go in barefoot with my big belly hanging out but wearing a mask.
Over here in the summer you get chavs walking topless round supermarkets sweating on food 🤮
