Looks a different order this week
Yes the scratch race is first and the elimination last. The scratch will probably be like last week...all stops and go...with corners everywhere. So getting cornering right is critical. So legs will already be shot before the sprint event.

I didn't do the scratch. How does it work?

It’s just s short race with corners everywhere. So many that you actually start to think they ate real in the way you address them. Assuming this one is similar to last week. And remember to leave the race quickly to join the sprint to get a good start position.

Looks like @BILL S is doing a recon of this weeks CG stage. Setting a time to challenge or lowering expectations? Hmmm. Only time will tell.

I did 30 mins of it last night and have definitely lowered my own expectations of how fast I'll do it on Thursday. I think my 5 year old (100,000 mile) bkool unit lowers the number of watts I can produce on 2/3rds of my rides, then gives it all back on the other 1/3rd.

I gained about 30 watts when I made the switch. But the big change is the extra resistance on the climbs. It is way harder.

Randy, So just to clarify, you're saying that with a Neo you make about 30 watts more downhill, but its much stiffer on the uphills and you lose about 50 watts?
It gave me a 30 watt increase overall. I’ve been doing the 5 minute FTP. The realistic climbing is way better for a fatty like me. Oh I mean a husky guy like me.
Edit: there is an option to change the downhill resistance. I leave it on 100% for both climb and downhill
