Bit overcooked but pretty sure it will still be eaten

This is a take on Bakewell Tart. None of my family except me like almond-flavoured stuff so I use a basic sponge for the top rather than a frangipane. Sweet crust pastry, blind-baked, spread with raspberry jam, topped with the sponge - a quick and easy dessert to accompany the spontaneous roast lunch my wife provided today.

Gluten free (Mrs T is allergic) marmalade and chocolate frangipane, to be served with autumn raspberries from the garden.

And no, presentation isn't my strong point!

Who the heck cares , as long as it's edible and delicious, but I can't say Marmalade and chocolate are a match.
But always like raspberries,, superior to strawberries

I'm with your family. Bakewell can keep their tarts. Usually not enough jam, and heavy on top.
