Another option that I'd try is to replicate the stewmac tool with an old oversized allen key... give it a taper on a grinding thing if you've got one.

Next job is to make a list of parts. I think most of the screws will need replacing due to corrosion, might end up replacing some trem parts as well, the saddle screws anyway are cheap enough. Trem cavity cover is cracked but that's easy enough to replace. Will probably have to wait until after Christmas but at least now I know it's worth doing. I could sort the fingerboard and frets out but I'll probably wait till I've got the parts so I can install the truss rod nut and get it nice and level to work on.

Anyway, I'm gonna go and play the Palm Bay for a bit and try to talk myself out of buying the tube amp someone's just put on the local facebook page...
