There's something nice about watching horses on the beach.

Good to see the rider taking responsibility by wearing hi-vis so that drivers can see her when she's riding through two foot of water.

Certainly. It is called Beltany Stone Circle near the town of Raphoe in the east of county Donegal.

Raphoe is the second highest town above sea level in Ireland (or so we were always told at school) so you get good views.

This year is already (over)booked for trips, but I can feel an excursion westwards coming on next year..

*Sure there are some stinkers, like anywhere, but I've not met one yet...

Used to do a lot of hitchhiking there, and people were always up for giving a ride, in return for a chat.
