That Kingpin up thread has been on various market place platforms for over a year. There’s no chance it’ll fetch the asking price, and the seller has been informed by various folks.

They sell for between £10 and £125 max for a goodun’. I’ve had a few over the years, never paid more than £35.

This Peugeot is being sold by someone who's borrowed a helmet off me, imho it's way over-priced at £300 -bhttps://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/634248922091159/

Ebay has a decent selection of overpriced Peugeots - that possibly make £300 for that one look almost reasonable by comparison.

This one definitely looks a bit unreasonably expensive ( admittedly I'm not that knowledgeable on how much value a bit of "Hermes Leather" supposedly adds - but it would need to be in the region of four grand) :

A couple of basic cheapie 80's racers (similar spec to the Facebook one)

All 3 of those bikes have been on eBay quite a while - funny that.

Ouch about 3 years ago he might have got close to the asking price

I have an 80's Peugeot myself that funnily enough I bought 3 years ago (and maybe - at £300 odd I paid too much for - though at least mines got a 531 main tubes frame)

So I like to keep half an eye on the market , see what else crops up ....

My similar one sold for a paltry £60 - around £100 would be my suggestion.

Didn't anticipate that such a limited description would generate a valuation, but that's only about £400 less than I'd ask for it if I wanted to sell (don't currently).

Ooops - maybe it's me who is now 'having a giraffe'

One thing's for sure , asking prices are all over the place, $1099 (about £840) for this one (same era and model number as mine, but mines a nicer colour and more interesting spec IMHO and definitely better condition:

Always raises a smile:

"It has some cosmetic blemishes and nicks, but to me it only adds to it’s charming beauty"

Translates as "I know the frame paint's a bit of a mess, but I'm trying to sell an old bike for alot of money here"

I will be posting a pic or two of my own PKN10 onto the forum before too long no doubt, maybe I can then look forward to valuations in the around £110 region ^_^

Well bike buying, especially old bike buying is such a personal thing isn't it?

Wouldn't have been interested in either of these personally, but for completely different reasons.

Less than £500 the right ball park for me personally, simply because I hate the colour scheme and I hate the graphics. Looks a lovely bike otherwise though 🙂

Good evening,

This one had been listed for months near me, it's even 531 Professional.

It has come down from £499

Bye

Ian

Lovely bike that (once upon a time .....)

In a 100% turn around from the first one, I love the colour scheme and love the graphics and love the chrome forks and rear triangles.....

But the paintwork is totally shot if you study the pictures , so not hard to see why it's come down from £499 really .....
