Perhaps I should let you all know that I am following this Tour as an observer.

My train from Guildford sulked. Someone else's train broke down twice and delayed us, so a 12 coach train was pulled out of service at Surbiton and we were decanted onto an 8 coach train which is now running fast to London.

No, I don't understand either.

It's a good thing I left my meeting early and know how to get to Liverpool Street.

Team 1830 train is now Team 1840 due to acts of train company...and facing further delays due to a broken down train up the line...

Day Two.
In which no one fell into a canal. A person was lost and found. There was a visitation. Someone did 40kph. It rained for five minutes in the morning then sun shone all day and we inspected a plurality of bars and listened to nice church bells.

Splendid day. Lovely to see @Auntie Helen again & meet her fellow velomobilists Jochen and Klaus. They seemed to enjoy moving so slowly for a change.
