I have been to Lego Land Windsor. This has resulted in two Lego Friends sets and a Lego Friends advent calendar.
My favourite part of the visit was Miniland where you can see models of Buckingham palace, the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower, to name a few.
I took loads of photos 😊😊😊

If you are a Lego fan I would strongly urge you to save up and go to Legoland in Denmark. It is by far the best Legoland.

I still remember going as a child and panning for gold. You gave the "gold" to the people running the attraction, they put it into a special mould, pressed it and out came a gold coin which they threaded onto a ribbon.

I also remember going to driving school. You had to make an appointment to go. No queue lines. Much better realism all round.
And it's clean, and neat and everything is wonderful.

I'm having a constant email battle with Game of Bricks. Decided, rightly or wrongly, with lit sets around it decided my di Vinci flying machine would be better with lights. Their set with its red elements giving IMO an impression of lit fires rather than light bulbs.
Problem is there are three red lit studs to fit. The end one fitting on top of the rear wing and the other two on the highest part. First snag is the wire cannot be passed through from the underside of the wing as shown in the instructions as the studs are all attached to the wire, the end one plainly needs to be loose. The other problem is the cable is around 2cm too short to reach the indicated fixing locations for them.
They can be fitted at a lower location and the cable run atop of the wing.
Mentioned it on Facebook and apparently the same issue affects the internal lights for a car although in that case its apparently not difficult to find alternative locations which give the same effect.
Previously got in a right mess with their lights for the London skyline. All of the wires are fitted direct to the usb plug and not via connection block.
I had used the Light My Bricks set on Baker Street and whilst their light sets are expensive it does look like you get what you pay for.

I also remember going to driving school.

I took my nephew and niece there, 20 odd years ago, he was officially too young to have a go, but he was quite a bit child so we blagged him onto it. She drove beautifully obeying all the signs, he was utter farkin chaos, failed to comprehend there were some rules and it wasn't dodgems.

It was absolutely hilarious, albeit maybe slightly nervy for the parents of other kids he was endangering.

Incidentally - has anyone tried out the new Lego Builder App?

It's rather cool. You can open your lego instructions on a tablet, flip through just like normal instructions but the actual diagram is a 3d model that can be rotated any which way to see better where pieces should go - very useful on more complex models.

You have no idea how long it takes me to build a ball contraption on Studio. 2.0 and then convert the build into steps into pdf format.
But Studio 2.0 is great once you get your head around it. Plus, I made 2 standing clip boards with all the main part numbers for quick reference. If you decide to have a go and try and like it, I can send you the parts list and you can print it off. Once you get good at it, you can build stuff before you eve try with real bricks, change colours, swap out parts. My inventory is 24 plastic A4 boxes with plastic business card boxes inside all sorted (but not colour sorted) and it takes time to open it all up and build stuff. With Studio, I can build without opening a box.

Any of you guys used Brick Owl for Lego parts? It's a wonderful source for mainly second hand bricks at an affordable price. Sellers are A1. One or two are Sharks like 'The missing brick' but you can make direct price comparisons.

Used them for too much in rebuilding the radio with a Bluetooth speaker in it, as I kept on varying what I was doing. Think most were new parts but still not that expensive. Currently have an order for some parts to tweak the roofs of Baker Street as I not keen on the rows of lego studs atop. Like how you can assemble a basket and it works out the best supplier. Had one basket where it split the items between two. No issues with the suppliers to date.
