I should geta pink phone case
I often wear pink shirts so they would match
my wife says they suit me (so did a "previous partner" but lets skip over that)
and it confuses the Hell out of my brother-in-law who is thick

I'm a fan of pink shirts for the same reason. One of my first 'proper' tailoring purchases was a made to measure (couldn't afford bespoke; still can't) dress shirt in a bold pink gingham check with double cuffs and a cutaway collar.

I rarely go in to the office these days and even more rarely wear a suit (I need to give myself a stiff talking to about my slipping sartorial standards). I've just checked my wardrobe and see that I only have three dress shirts in there at the moment: plain pink, lilac gingham, and plain white which is reserved for funerals.

I've always preferred colours or patterns to white, which always looks slightly grubby to my eyes even when freshly laundered.

Yes - my white shirt is basically a "funerals only" shirt

The shirts I used to wear for work and pretty much worn out now
I chucked them a few years after I stopped bothering working - they were "OK for work" but anything else that needed a shirt and tie needed something better
not even sure how many of that type I even have
when my wife's son got married I bought a new one - pink - with a bright patterned tie - teh above mention brother-in-law looked confused whenever I was talking to him!!

I like white shirts granted some of mine have a pattern inside the collar and cuffs. But I have a couple that are just white. I do have a couple of pink ones plus another dozen or so checked, striped, pattern and plain ones.

Pink is just a shade of white ,by another name , I don't really pay any heed to shades,
But then sartorial elegance is of no importance to me, I am just as happy gambling about in a boiler suit odd socks and big boots.
Although I'd draw the line at shades of hot pink fortunately I buy of the peg, and don't have a bespoke clothes maker.
I did once have a winter cycling jacket that was a frightfull magenta shade , which faded to a soft pink, the main purpose was apart from being warm, was to be seen, as if someone 6ft 3" riding a bike wasn't plainly visible , but we all know !
I did have a very colourful cycling wardrobe back in the day

For the vast majority of my working life , I wore a uniform, so perhaps it's an unconscious rejection of mine not wear a collar and tie and look presentable.
I can make an effort now and then , but more happy to slum about.
What isn't stylish about wearing a boiler suit ,odd socks , big boots and a barmy hat ,( which I am quite keen on)
If I don't need to dress to impress , then why do so?

Im liking the sword-stick.

Not so keen on the pink phone case.
Yes, I asked the phone shop owner if he had a fluorescent case as black and dark colours make me finding my case difficult. He replied 'No, we only have ladies phone cases in bright colours'. On looking at them, I thought the below would be the easiest to spot.😉

Why does he think it reasonable to describe them as "Ladies" phone cases, in this day and age?

I have a pink case for my tablet, and don't regard it as anything other than a case for it. A tablet (or phone) case doesn't have a gender.

Before I started working in an office putting on a shirt and tie - and especially a suit - made an event special
birthdays, Christmas and all that

But once I had been working in the office for a few years a suit just became like a set of overalls
but an expensive version

so going out to dinner for something was actually reduced as an event by wearing a suit as it felt just like going to work

to make something special I would be better off wearing a good quality shirt with an open neck

Since stopping working in a suit it has become a mark of an event again

Felt really special at my wife's son's wedding wearing my suit and a good quality new pink shirt with a nice matching tie

weird how clothes make something feel differetn - but what caused what effect changes over time!

Oh - little aside - we wore a suit at work because it was the rules
there were no rules that applied to women
some of the suits that people wore were verging on the disgusting - one bloke I worked with from time to time wore a suit that looked like you would need a pollution license if you tried washing it
it also stank of tobacco - and something that was probably whiskey!!

so the concept of "a suit is smart and professional" was a bit ineffective!
