Bystanders have learned that Portillo is found on railway premises clutching a guidebook, and the visually identical Accy is behind the wheel of a Fiat 500 wielding a rolled up copy of Horse and Hound at oncoming motorists.
Indeed, Portillo is never seen off railway premises and John Major had to have the House of Commons designated as British Rail property before Portillo could attend.
Accy, on the other hand, prefers not to go to any building that permits entry to common folk.
Hes a small c conservative these says, not a "Tory". Being the former does not automatically make one the latter, although an ignoramus media seem to use the terms more or less interchangeably these days.
Not intended to be political, merely mentioned for the sake of accuracy.
I'd see a small c conservative as being someone with a conservative outlook but not per se a supporter of or a member of the conservative party. I'd imagine Portillo is still a big C conservative.
When it was posted that Portaloo was a small 'c' I had a different word in mind, rather shorter in fact only 4 letters.![]()
